I think German/ Swiss people care more about practicality than fashion generally speaking. I saw a few girls who wore really nice dresses when I was in Switzerland but their shoes totally spoilt their outfit.:embarassed:

I have a question about Chinos;

 

I bought a few pair of Ralph Lauren Chinos in different colors, I was wearing a pair and my brother and sister in law laughed at me and said the legs were too big and it looked like girls pants. I took them to a local clothes shop that does tailoring and the tailor said the legs were fine. I think I like the more modern cut of slimmer legs but I'm not sure if that looks ok.

legs were too big at the bottom, or throughout the whole leg? i think you're probably fine unless they're really baggy...it's a bit hard to tell from the picture, but those look like average-legged guy pants to me :D

 

speaking of pants, i bought a pair of really hideous tie-dye sweatpants the other day to wear around the house :D :P. for some reason, i loved them, but i don't think i could ever wear them in public :lol:
