englishrose
I get practically everything I wear second-hand :awesome: Finding a Betsey Johnson minidress for $40 was one of my prouder moments. ;) It's very similar to this, except in ivory over black, and it's by far my favourite item of clothing:
indanomati
"Trendy" stuff are not necessarily uncomfortable to wear, I believe. Most of the clothes that are in style today are my kind of style, doesn't mean I'm all obsessed in fashion and look at every magazine there is about fashion and what we should wear and stuff. I do, however, put some thought into what I wear sometimes and I don't see the big deal in that. It's not wrong to look a bit nice when you go out at times. Gitta Rensolo
I am not saying there is somethnig wrong with it of course.....I mean, I like to see girls who wear things that are in fashion because it can be quite interesting to see.....but I don't care about it too much when I go shopping....like which things should be combined etc.....I choose the easy way which is jeans, shirt, cardigan, scarf, sneaker/ chucks like shoes and some accessoires.....well something like that. (for some reason it never looks boring though haha) I am not saying that all you girls are "fashion victims" (do you use that in english?)....it is just that this thread makes me realise that many who post in here wear things I'd never wear....so, it is a matter of "style" I guess

But actually, what you said about your usual outfit of cardigan, scarves, accessories etc.. that seems to me like you do actually put some thought in it. It's not that easy to combine. Just sayin'
Megalomania
I'd love to wear nicer outfits to school, but we don't have heating and half my classrooms on the second floor are in areas without insulation. . . so I have to wear sweatshirts and fuzzy socks all the time. :\

Bright
oh my when I see you girls posting here I notice that I don't really care too much about fashion....:wacky: the things I wear should look and feel good on me...that's all haha it's fun you should say that because most of the stuff I post here I would never wear cause I know it wouldnt look good on me :wacky: however, I do like looking at nice clothes eventhough I most of the time end up buying like ordinary, comfortable clothes. I looooved it. But went out once in it and while I danced some girl's bracelet got stuck into the lace and as she pulled it she ripped off half of it. :( I was soooo sad and angry! мaямellata
I would never ever wear something I don't feel comfortable in, it wouldn't matter if it's "in fashion" if I don't like the trend of the moment I wear what I like, like spring clothes in winter; I remember when military prints was "fashionable", I really couldn't see myself wearing any of that, I'll leave military prints to the army. I never (very rarely) wear skirts, I like to look at dresses but me myself would never wear one without pants, I only own one pair of thighs that I bought recently for a Christmas party because my boyfriend encouraged me to wear a dress without pants & to be honest it was hell, I don't know how to fold my legs right, I'm always paranoid people are gonna see something they wouldn't care to see :uhoh: & my butt being enormous I couldn't bend a millimeter that I mooned everyone, with the baby it was so hard because he kept trowing things on the ground. I might post a lot of things that seem very daring but like the really short skull shirt I posted wearing, I only wear short, see thru things with something underneath, so what I mean is that being comfortable it's always the most important thing, I see so many girls that wear super thing everything, super short skirts etc, & I can't relate, fashion from my point of view is fun to admire when it becomes over the top ( like something lady gaga would wear ) but I only stick to what I can wear without being embarrassed in public, & if I'm not comfortable I stress out the whole day  & who would want that. edit; I don't care for things that cost more than 40 - 50 dollars, when I go to a store I try to only buy things in the sale section. or getting things at thrift stores is also fun, cheap & pretty.
