The Workout Thread

Featured Replies

After searching this nothing came up. So, I assume it hasn't been done.

Anyway, I'm a very lazy person and I was just dreading going to the gym. I thought I'd ask what all of you do to stay in shape. Any special workout secrets??

I don't really do anything special. My light workout consists of mostly cardio with some light weight training.

I must say that I am a bit discouraged because I'm the one who drags myself to the gym but my sister is the one who is more in shape!

Well, I'm not THAT good. And I'm just learning how to do stuff when I'm on top, so ... :P I was usually one of those who were lifting others :D

ooh I have sports practice every single day at school so i don't do extra workouts. In the summer I like to swim- in the pool, in the sea..

Hahahaha I HATE working out. Gym class is the bane of my existence. :laugh3:

I play lots of tennis and also run long-distance. I run races, including marathons.

What I would say is, you should only do what you actually enjoy.

I prefer to be outdoors, and therefore can't stand gyms.

You can't beat the open air!!:D

^Yeah the best workout is the one you actually enjoy. You just have to try a bunch of different things. I love team sports like basketball and football/soccer and I also like just running. It's a good stress reliever...

Definitely. I'm not into "contact" sports myself.

That's why I love tennis, running and skiing.;)

I don't even know what I like...but I really do need to start exercising and all. Anyone got any recommendations or anything?

You should just try out a few things you like the look of. Joining a club is always a good idea, as you can get help and advice and make new friends.

I've never been to a gym in my life. You can do pretty much anything you want just with free weights.

All you need is like, a chair, and a street you can run up and down.

If you wanna stay fit, take up basketball. And do pressups.

Oooh dancing. I quite liked salsa dancing in gym class last year.

I do cheerleading.

Pictures are needed (as I don't believe you) ;)

You lazy bastards!

I'm a work out maniac, i go to the gym 6 days a week and train for like 2 hrs and damn, it actually works cos i've become stronger during the past months but there are sacrifices if you wanna get results, like giving up all the junk food, beer and ciggies but its so totally worth it.

I don't mind working out... but I never do it :P

Still have a great figure though

I play 15 hours of sports a week and lift weights. I was jogging 2-3 hours a week but stopped, i need money to buy another gym membership so I jog again.

I run and walk on the treadmill and do some light weightlifting

Works for me
