James Morrison says people often confuse him with Chris Martin.

 

And the Undiscovered singer finds it amusing to be mistaken for the Coldplay frontman.

‘People come up and think they recognise me,’ he tells The Sun. ‘I pretend to be someone else and say I get it all the time.

'I tell them I look a bit like that bloke James Morrison. They don’t argue with me.

 

‘Then I get people coming up and asking if I am Chris Martin.

'I should just play along with it and say I am with Gwyneth Paltrow and looking forward to going home with her tonight.

'Chris wouldn’t mind. He’s a funny guy.’

 

James, 24, will release his new record Songs For You, Truths For Me on 30 September.

He does look like Chris I think. He looks much older than 24 too :stunned:

all this is because he's an upcoming singer and wants to be compared to a well known singer like Chris Martin and want to create an attention to himself....

 

so that he could be as successful as Chris like never beaten by others and even not comparable to others...

But they do lookalike. And I like James' music as well.

I can see the resemblance in that photo, but I get where your coming from when you say you don't. I don't have a crush on Chris so I don't nit pick if theres even the slightest resemblance I'll generally acknowledge it. But I've had people compare people I did have a crush on to someone else, and I am never pleased. And I'm a little tipsy tonight so heres hoping this post makes sense.

He's not a Chris but he is hott but Chris is hotter- always!

he said that since when he was promoting his first album in spain, that even his old work mates nicknamed him chris or the coldplay guy, as he said that he brought his guitar to work to practice on free time... i think that he likes to be confused with chris, is a cheap way to be promoted... :rolleyes:

 

i hadn't heard much his music but i think is a bit similar... :uhoh:

 

anyways about the age difference, is not that much only 6 years, more or less like gwyn with chris, right?... and well when chris was that age he wasn't as james looks... :uhoh: i would worry for that, or may be just is that james likes to look like him, as i've said before is a cheap way to be promoted, but i think that's not good at all.

That doesn't make sense. If people are confusing him for Chris, then James doesn't get "cheap promo", Coldplay does.

I've met James and he 's an incredibly nice guy.

Even in the beginning days too they never did it.They tried,worked very hard and also now too.

He does look like Chris though. Not exactly, but they both have nearly the same nose and lighbulb-shaped head. Different eyes, though. Some pictures there's more of a resemblance than others.

 

I'll be going through some random music site or magazine or something and see a picture of him going, why's Chris th... oh, it's that Morrison guy. Happened 3 or 4 times at least now.
