Remember guys keep it on the MM section. We don't want to have to take it down.

Ahhh I recorded it and I just watched it.. but I AM SO HAPPY THEY PLAYED YELLOW!!!

I was really mad that they didn't show them play LiJ though.. or maybe I missed it from the recording. They showed like the first couple chords then it went to a commercial break :\

THEY SOUNDED AMAZING THOUGH!!

And those pics they showed right after the commercial breaks before they were about to play were stunning:stunned:

Chris looks fucken HOT!!!

absoutley fucking agree. and we saw his stomach during VLV!!!!!!!

Again, it was cut-off due to time. But don't worry. I'm sure in about a day or two someone will release it in full or release the ending credits. This same thing happened while U2 was on stage 4 years ago. A few days later the ending credits appeared online along with their 4th song.

It was fun guys

Goodnight!

I need Bill Hader too marry me, too. NOW. Gooosh, he's sooo wonderful. :D

omg so true! he is adorable.. also I agree with what you were saying a couple pages back... about how they probably performed another song to fill in the missing time because Bronx Beat didn't happen. which sucks because I was looking forward to it, but yellow was 100 times better :D

^^ haha yeah, I love his Vincent Price and his Vinny Vedeci. He's just awesome and adorable. :wink3:

Yellow was sooo beautiful! had a huge smile all the way through.

SNL show

Anyone know why Chris sounded so bad during Viva la Vida on SNL tonight? Is he sick?

Lost! and Yellow sounded better, but it seemed like he wasn't quite 100%

Watch all of the Thursday Night Lives on Saturday night before Saturday Night Live

snl_president.jpg

You missed all of the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update specials that aired over the last three Thursdays, huh? And, you refuse to watch them online over your 128KB phone line connection. And, you didn't want to watch the clips on one of the many web-based video channels and blogs (including this one) because you are one of "those" people who need to see the show in its entirety. So, you're pissed and ready to take out the first person who asks 'Hey, did you watch the SNL special?'.

Fret not, psychotic one! You'll have one more chance to see all of the SNL specials at one time this very evening. Starting at 9:30, NBC will be airing all three episodes at once. This will give you the chance to see Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, Will Ferrell making an appearance as the current President Bush and Andy Samberg throwing up all over himself . If you can stay awake past your local news you'll get to see a brand-new episode of SNL at its normal time with host Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and musical guest Coldplay.

Now you have your second chance. If you miss the SNL specials now and you forget to record them on your DVR then you have no one to blame but yourself. No pressure.

Was that Coldplay or U2 on SNL?

You know, I love the band ColdPlay, but their appearance on SNL has me thinking too hard.

Not about the introspection I think there was in their music but rather about how overly animated Chris was. Dude seriously, I love your enthusiasm, but what about dialing back the... er, whatever that was. Miss you man! I've appreciated being reminded of the beauty and tragedy around us and being inspired by your creativity. ...er, less so about reflecting on how creepy it was to watch Bono gyrating in that poor lady's face when U2 appeared on SNL... or your bobbing and yelping. ;-) Awkward!

Oh my god, I'm old and stupid, how did this happen?!

Coldplay Promotes Barack Obama on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Chris Martin wears homemade armband and makes impromptu shout-out

NEW YORK (Hollywood Today) 10/26/08 – These days, it seems one can’t mention John McCain, Barack Obama or Sarah Palin without also including NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in the conversation, reports Hollywood Today.

Coldplay's Chris Martin ensured the show would remain the center of political discussion this week by endorsing Obama’s presidential campaign twice during Saturday night’s broadcast. During Coldplay’s second performance during the show, which was hosted by “Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm, Martin sported a white armband with the Democratic presidential nominee’s name handwritten on it. At the end of the third song, Martin, who had removed the armband, yelled out “Barack Obama!”

Chris Martin previously expressed his support for Obama during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine released in June, where he suggested foreign opinion of the United States would improve if the Illinois senator won the election. “If Obama was to be president, it would immediately change the whole outside world’s opinion of America overnight,” Martin posited in the publication.

Coldplay went on four times during the hour-and-a-half program, instead of the standard two times for musical guests, possibly because regular cast member Amy Poehler had given birth earlier in the day. TV Guide reported Saturday that portions of the show had to be rewritten due to the baby boy’s arrival.

'SNL': Mad Men, No VP Women

Sarah Palin has been the bread and butter of "Saturday Night Live" this season, but a new show Saturday didn't have her (or Tina Fey), trying instead to skewer the Democrats instead.

But an opening sketch about Joe Biden and John Murtha came close to obscurity. A bit later, a more clever segment about the "Barack Obama Variety Half Hour" brought back a female alumnus other than Fey, Maya Rudolph to portray Michelle Omama, as she and Fred Armisen's Barack sang a variation of Ashford and Simpson's hit, now named, "Solid as Barack." (Also: Bill Clinton sang "Don't You Forget About Me"; Nancy Pelosi sang "Our House" and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers sang the Gnarls Barkley hit "Crazy").

Jon Hamm from "Mad Men" was host and the writers knew so little about him or the extent of his talent there were two "Mad Men" skits and one dim takeoff of his name: "Jon Hamm's John Ham" about a meat product you eat in the lavatory.

The first "Mad Men" parody boasted both series stars Elizabeth Moss (who didn't get applause for her cameo) and John Slattery (who did) but wasted the setup on that awful duo of recurring characters, so ill-conceived their names are still "The Two A-Holes." Another bit, about Don Draper's hints for picking up women, was better, and it was about the only place where Amy Poehler showed up all night, since it was pre-taped.

Yes, the big news during "Weekend Update," handled by Seth Meyers solo at the anchor desk for the first time, was that Poehler couldn't be there because she was was having her baby. (Rudolph and Keenan Thompson returned to serenade the event with a slightly rewritten "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You").

Coldplay might be a big arena rock act, but it seemed more due to a lack of comedy material that they were asked to play three songs -- something very few bands in recent years have been allowed to do.

Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin publicly endorsed Democrat Barack Obama during an appearance on Saturday Night Live last night (October 25th).

Martin displayed a white armband with the presidential hopeful’s name on and shouted “Barack Obama” as Coldplay’s three-song performance on the programme ended.

Last June, Martin told Rolling Stone that people would become “a bit more optimistic” if Mr Obama successfully defeats rival Republican John McCain in America’s general election next month.

“If Obama was to be president, it would immediately change the whole outside world's opinion of America overnight,” the singer said.

“America's public image at the moment is really bad. And it's a bummer, because over half of Americans are the coolest people on the planet. But they've been so misrepresented.”

Martin is the latest high profile name to make a political statement on the NBC show.

Comedian Tina Fey’s impressions of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin have ensured that SNL has been at the centre of the political process over recent months.

On last night's show Actor Will Ferrell reprised his role as George W Bush in a sketch with the comedian, who was once again dressed as Palin.
