I can do that.. but now the download speed is really slow :bigcry:

I couldn't make more captures because I'm still downloading it.. maybe I could convert it into a smaller file and post it here for those who don't use torrents

Yes please :)

Did anyone think that Viva la Vida sounded a bit off? I think it might have been something that Will was banging on. The bell or that other big thing. But I felt like it was giving off a weird after-sound

yea viva la vida was definately the worst out of the 3. i think it started off weak but by the end it was ok. i didn't notice anything weird with wills drum though..

The wooah part sounded really weird.

It sounded like they were actually singing that part.

I thought Yellow was played at a faster pace. It sounded great though

AHHHH!

That was amazing last night! The musical guest usually only plays two songs and they played four!!!!!!

COLDPLAY IS THE GREATEST!!

thanks for the pics guys!!

lol and this is page number 42. cool ;)

I liked seeing Chris back at the piano for lost, and I think that might be the first time the "ohhhh" part of Viva was ever actually live lol. And I just about died when they started to play Yellow, what an unexpected and awesome move, Chris sounded great during this song. I didn't care for the Barack Obama shout out, the arm band was a sufficient statement. Liberal or Conservative I prefer artists keep their political views to themselves, I'm never quite sure what their trying to accomplish doing that, surely we don't want people picking candidates because their favorite artist likes them? But beyond that a truly great show, I was kinda pissed they cut off Lovers but hey three songs is better than most get.

I think VLV has more vocally challenging tracks.

Chris still sings the classics (Yellow, Clocks, etc) great.

But the new ones are tough.

Coldplay SNL

AWESOME last night on SNL! I stayed up all night for it (even though i was taping it :P)

During "Viva La Vida" it sounded like Will's mic was louder than everyone else's during the "Woah" part. That was why it sounded kind of weird.

But he's got a darling voice

"Yellow" was indeed a tad bit faster. I think that they sped it up because they wanted to play it differently.

Roadie #42 mentioned them altering "Yellow" to keep it fresh.

"Lost!" was great with Chris at the now VIVA painted piano!!! :D Song sounded fuller with the piano.

Although I was hoping for him to do the shooting spazzes during the "waiting till the firing stopped" part. :(

But I was soooooo TICKED OFF that "Lovers In Japan" got truncated!!! GRRRR!

* HOORAY FOR THIS BEING PAGE 42*!

Hey everyone! I was at the SNL dress rehearsal last night, and it was definitely the best experience of my life! I thought I'd share...

I was right on the aisle, in the middle of the audience. The studio is much smaller than I imagined! They first performed Viva la Vida about 40 minutes in, and I was SO excited! When they walked out, my first reaction was "wow, they're tall", seeing as I've only seen them in person from nosebleed seats before :P

When they got to the stage, Chris was dancing around to the house band and talking to Jonny. He told us that "this is a tough crowd, but we're going to warm you guys up". He seemed a bit nervous to be playing a TV show, right before they started he said "Is this live TV? Oh shit oh shit oh shit!"

They DEFINITELY told Chris to stay on the stage during Viva la Vida for the live show at 11:30, because when they performed it during rehearsal he was everywhere! He jumped off the stage almost immediately and did some pretty strenuous dancing :P

I was a bit confused when they brought out the piano for the second song, since I could see Chris' acoustic guitar and thought it looked like the setup for 42... I was sure they were going to play Lost!, so it seemed weird. When they started playing Lost! with the piano, it was fantastic! The TV broadcast definitely did not do it justice, though, it was much better in the studio. Oh, and Guy dropped his drumsticks on the floor in the beginning, and Chris looked at him like "what the hell are you doing?"

For the last song, they removed all of the VLV instruments, so I was curious. Again, Chris seemed to really like the studio band, and he went and peeked through the window to watch them play. Yellow was absolutely incredible and unexpected, and Chris was hilarious during it. He was dancing everywhere, and whenever it got the the word "yellow" he spoke gibberish instead :P Halfway through he said "we're going to keep playing even though the show's over"- I think he kept forgetting that it was a rehearsal. Oh, and they definitely played it faster during the live show than in rehearsal... At the end Chris completely messed up the last line- he said "and it was all yellow", so instead of saying "Barack Obama" he kind of winced

Anyway, that was my night! I snuck some pictures with my phone, and I can put them here if someone tells me how to upload them...

Man .......I HATED that he said Barack Obama!.....Pisses me off!

Why?

If he wants to promote it let him promote it.

Everyone does it.

He actually seems to care too. He's like a Obama FAN.

I doubt he cares what people think of it. If he can actually influence a group of people to vote for Obama, that's his goal acheived.

awesome review

if you can't do it, just pm me :P

Okay, I'm working on uploading them... The camera on my phone is pretty bad, and I had to shoot from my lap under a sweatshirt so that they didn't catch me! I managed about 5 before someone saw me and told me to turn off my phone. They were actually pretty nice about it! I feel like they weren't as strict about takings pics of the band because I couldn't really spoil that before the show like I could if I had filmed a skit. Oh and some guy had hung his jacket right on the banister so it's right in the middle of the pictures :(

All the pics are from VLV.

Wow, glad I missed that!

Man .......I HATED that he said Barack Obama!.....Pisses me off!

We turned off the tv after the 2nd song(HATE SNL due to their incredibly leftist view, like 99% of Hollywood/media) and I thought Coldplay:veryangry2: were done. If my husband would have heard Chris say that, I'd be looking for another date to the concert AND worse yet, I'd never hear the end of it. Now I'm worried because the show is the night before election so I'm sure comments will be made, should make for an interesting ride home...sheesh!

I uploaded the first two pictures, how do I get them on here?

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but I noticed that Will's backup vocals in VLV were a lot louder than normal. Did they kinda mess up the sound level on his mic? Usually they're a lot less noticeable.. but I think Will's voice is great and I was happy to hear him!:)
