I am soooo excited about this and that was awesome of Chris to write up a real letter! :D I'm an assisant manager at a music store and have databases that I can look stuff up in... you can bet when I work on Sunday that I'll be checking our comps for info!!! As soon as I find ANYTHING out I'll let everyone know!!! Sometimes we get to see things early. (I got to listen to Viva La Viva about three weeks before it came out because my store got a promo copy! :D)

Life in Technicolor II - Wasn't this supposed to be the closer to thier 5th album? Maybe it still will be, but this seems a bit strange given what they've said about the song before.

 

Postcards from Far Away - I hope the short one minute thing played live was just a preview of this song and the actual version will be at least 3 minutes and have lyrics.

 

Rainy Day - Wasn't this just an early version of Death And All His Friends? I really love the intro to DAAHF which is what this is supposed to be presumably and I don't like the second half so much. But then we could be completely wrong and Rainy Day could be a totally different song altogether!

 

Prospekt's March - I hope this isn't anything like The Dubliners or The Goldrush, I want the title track to be a proper song!

 

Lost! (featuring Jay-Z) - I'll make sure to avoid this song. Sounds like it'll be awful.

We're still waiting on Famous Old Painters, Leftrightleftright, Lhuna, Lukas and Poppy Fields as well as Dubliners and Goldrush, perhaps they'll be on the 5th album or another EP released in the future. The Dubliners could end up on the Lost! EP I guess.

I think the cover will be the one of the guy on the horse all around these other dudes - I'll try and find it somewhere..

I think the Rainy Day = DAAHF rumour is nonsense, check out the VLV alternate tracklisting on the Tour Programme:

 

 

Both Rainy Day and DAAHF are together in the same tracklist... :)

Sorry to disappoint but I'm neither new nor old - I just lost the password to my previous account + I didn't like my nick used there, which I only have on Polish sites, so I just created a new one. The bad thing is my The Bakery photos and number of posts disappeared :P I was the first one to post here Viva La Vida music videos too :D

 

I'm really excited about new album. New version of Lost! has got to be great. I hope one day they'll also release the live version used in the music video. I'm looking forward to hearing Life in Technicolor with lyrics as well! It's my second favourite song from 'Viva La Vida...' I think it was once said the version on the album is shorter, would that possibly mean LiT II will be longer? That'd be great!

About DAAHF, I remember they said the beginning was initially titled School that was initially a part of Rainy day, but it wasn't Rainy day itself. So it's another song ;)
