Lauve
How can a president be allowed to cancel elections that are bound to replace him ? surely the constitution has foreseen that ! I hope so. Coldplay for president !
Saffire
This sounds highly probable! ;) But worse things have happened. It all started with that rat, Abraham Lincoln, when he ignored Habeus Corpus. Then FDR ran for re-election a dozen times. Power is fun.
Tnspieler1012
LOL. I was expecting an onion article to go with this. But by what I've seen of NeSs on this forum he's probably dead serious.
Matter-Eater Lad
If Bush or anyone in Goverment could, They would. But they won't because there would be massive rioting, the economy would do even worse and people would rise up and overthrow the government.... This won't happen with how hated Bush is, now if he was well liked I think he would. *I almost said we'd rise up, but I fear just speaking out against Bush or Congress online is enough to get someone on the terror watch list...I'm sure our government knows what most of us say online, and keep tabs. I wouldn't be surprised if i(or most Americans and Europeans) are on the terror watch list.
Tnspieler1012
Well...he wouldn't because he can't. No one can just cancel an election no matter how liked they are... it's absurd, a giant whale would have to swallow the whole washington district for that to happen. chuck kottke
Well, given what has already transpired (a rigged election in 2000; the Supreme Court violating the Constitution and basically appointing Bush as President), I think it's something he would try if he could. But at this point it seems unlikely, as he's already tarred with the mess we're in today - his approval ratings are low, and sinking fast.. Saffire
Instead a former member of Goldman Sachs is in charge of the bailout money..... Talk about the blind leading the blind... Goldman Sachs is like a fraternity for the rich and powerful. It's a bunch of douchebags who think they're smarter and more cosmopolitan than everyone else. Well guess what? Now it's a commercial bank, not an investment bank. He might as well have been a teller at Bank of America somewhere.

Matter-Eater Lad
Putin has done nothing wrong constitutionally ;) Doesn't mean he's done nothing wrong... He is king of Russia...A pure genius. He's killed so many people just for speaking out against him. Russian government officials are scared of him, like most in the Russian media and for good reason.
