I like cars that are more interesting and different. My favourites would be British,French and Italian, sadly all three of those are likely to leave me waiting for the AA:cry:

Well get the car I have....1998 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4...:p

Leasing works kind of like a long-term rental.

You put a little bit down ($2K or so).

Your payments are a bit cheaper than the monthly payments on a straight purchase.

The term of your lease is usually 36 months. There will be a milage restriction/penalty.

At the end of your lease, you can give them the keys and walk away. Or you can buy it for a pre-negotiated price (the "residual value").

Leases are good for people who want a new car every 3 years or so and for people who don't put a lot of miles on a vehicle.

I've leased my last two vehicles ('05 Honda Pilot and '08 Subaru Tribeca) and I'll probably continue to do so.

I drove the new VW Golf IV the other day and it's an astonishing car! So if you have enough money I can recommend it for you. ;)

A honda civic hybrid....great gas mileage and its good for the envirenment too! :nice:

LIES!!!!

The batteries cause more damage to the environment than any CO2 could :stunned:

Can't go wrong with a lovely Skoda Fabia 2 ;) (Basically peel away the badges and you have the VW Polo underneath)

:idea2: I know:

British style, Japanese reliability. And even old used ones have a good track record. The woman down the street has had hers for nearly 15 years now, and it still looks new.

^yeah ya cant go wrong with one of those!!

Yes!! Low drag coefficient, lower frontal area, light weight, and thus pretty good on fuel, if you can keep yourself from racing it too much..;)

Probably a good candidate to convert into a hybrid electric - light and very streamlined = perfect choice for efficiency. The new lithium ion batteries use iron phosphate instead of cobalt, and therefore are safe from sudden combustion like the laptop batteries..;);) Add some carbon nanotube supercapacitors, a high power density permanent-magnet electric motor, and you're set. Oh, and maybe a diesel engine for charging the batteries/capacitors.

That's a Mazda MX5 isn't it?:D they are actually pretty cool cars and I bet you can get a good rate on leasing too:D , I would definatly drive one of them.

Now all I need to do is overcome my desire to get a 4x4(or SUV) :embarassed:

Just looked on that leasing site and an MX5 is £219 per month and this(after you guys mentioned the MX5 it got me to thinking):

Alfa_Romeo_Spider_Front.jpg

is £280, how gorgeous is that!!

it is the lowest engine though but I don't really care too much about that

And it will break down every week, taking you into the wonders of the Alfa-UK dealer network

As they put style over not-breaking-down technology

Yeah stay away from those alfas and get yourself a nice Toyota!

^ You on the green stuff?

Will the rare breeds survive? I hope so!! Innovation depends on them... Unfortunately, reliability suffers, for no auto maker really wants a car that breaks down - that' what ended the beautiful American specialties like Auburn, Cord, and Packard - I'd be saddened to see Alfa go that way!! Are they really that prone to malfunctions??

Anyhow, get what you can afford, but if you're a millionaire, go with the innovative pack - that's the only way to make progress! ;>

I like the styling of both, but efficiency wins we out - and even in the racetrack, the smoother streamlining and lighter frame gets up to speed the quickest.. even for renewbles the best is with the smooth light machines.

Indeed it is- a Mazda MX5 Miata. My dad almost bought one once- I was sooo upset when he changed his mind at the last minute.

I think really the MX5 is a viable option though, thanks everyone :D

Ugh why would anyone want to get a overgrown petrol guzzling SUV!!

Choose Ice

:cool:I'd go with the MX5 too - it's more fun, and doesn't cause as many ice-bergs to plop into the ocean...;)

Because off road driving is fun, thier strong, safe and a very comfortable and nice place to sit.

Get a motorcycle.

As much as I like motorcycles I'm 5'4 so I'm too short and they would be far too powerful for me, plus it limits what you can wear as you need to wear protective clothing unless you don't value your life.
