If Coldplay were gone...?

Featured Replies

Lets just say that on what Chris Martin is saying is true and will happen..the "retirement of the band next year".

If this so happens, What would you remember Coldplay of? and if you had the chance to say anything to the band members if this "retirement" happens what would you say? to add things of what would be your opinion on Chris Martin statement of "retiring"?

^^ Really?

If that happened (Which it wont any time soon) I would be crushed, and really sad. Seriously!

And if I had one thing to say to them it would be, Thank you for being in my life!

I can't even stand the thought of them retiring :bigcry::bigcry:

Cobaltié will be very very sad. That is all I can say because I'd most likely be really sad and annoyed :P

Some day.

But when that moment comes, just give me a hug and let's cry and moan together.

LONG LIVE THE KING.

LONG LIVE COLDPLAY.

Way to premature.

I think they'll take a break for a while.

And come back A ROCKIN.

They wont retire. They love it to much! Remember at the MTV Europe awards a few years back. They were taking time off then...or so they said. They started recording a month later.

They might pull a U2 end of the 80s style thing. Disappear and change everything up. I think they'll relax a bit. But Chris cant even take a day off without hitting a studio (Roadie 42). They wont retire anytime soon. DO NOT WORRY

I don't think they'll retire just yet!

When they eventually do, the one thing I'd like to tell them would be that their music has inspired me and helped me through some difficult times.

Ofcourse that day will come. But hopefully not soon, it would really be a shame.

Won't happen...

As someone once said... their in the Unforgettable fire growth spurt.

Next up the Joshua Tree.

Or go write a big mature rock album.

i don't think it's going to happen for at LEAST 5 more years. i feel like we'll see LP6 or LP7 before they'd seriously go into retirement. and even then, i bet they'd retire for like 10 years and then make a comeback album. i think we all know that there's ZERO reason for them to retire: as far as we know, things are great between the bandmembers, they love their jobs and their music, they're successful, and they're still growing. even logically, they've just got a new studio, chris is still writing, they say "the best is yet to come" etc etc. it's just not happening.

but if and when the day comes (i think they might never quit, like U2 or the rolling stones :P), i'll be very, very upset, no matter how old i am at the time. they've made such a huge impact on my life that it'll be almost impossible to comprehend that there won't be any more of that inspiration coming.

I think there'll be another album at the end of next year (they seem really keen to celebrate the decade) and then I think there'll be a long break before we hear anything else. They'll probably all go off and work with other people for a while - but I think ultimately that will be a good thing for the band. They'll come back stronger than ever and blow us all away again

they have still got another decade in them at least! can't wait till the next 6 LPs...

i think this is likely too, but the long break will KILL me :dead: :P

how long do you think a long break is? i have to say i don't think it would be any more than 5 years...i don't think even they could wait that long or occupy themselves with collabs for that long . i think they love each other and the band too much to go away for more than 5 years.
