Now I'll have to wear my red one, at least I'll be easy to recognize :P
August 31, 200916 yr Semy and I did a dry-run to Wembley today. Based on having seeing the waiting areas etc, this is what I think might be useful to know: 1. The Tube ride is LONG :P. Longer than I expected, anyway. When you buy tickets/day passes/use Oyster cards, be sure that what you use is valid to travel in Zone 4. My Oyster card apparently only works in Zones 1, 2, and 3, so I had to pay extra. 2. Get off at Wembley PARK, not Wembley Central if you can. There's a (longish) pathway directly to the stadium from Wembley Park. The Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines run to Wembley Park. 3. There are toilets and small food stands where we're going to be waiting in line, thank the lord. I'm hoping the food stands will be open, because there doesn't seem to be ANY other easy food finds within walking distance that would be quick and that wouldn't leave your space in line open for very long. Wembley seems quite isolated from anything but its car park, walkways leading to it, and the Tube station. 4. I don't know how many GA gates there will be, but apparently there's at least one at one near the stage and and the other at the back, far away from the stage. If the entry gate isn't specified on your ticket (the lady we talked to didn't seem to knowif it would be), try to find out from an employee which line is for close-to-stage. 5. Get there early. I don't know how early is advisable yet (especially because getting there very early for the show on the 19th will mean getting mixed up with the lines for people seeing the show on the 18th), but I'm getting a tad concerned about how likely it is I can personally get close based on my schedule and travel plans. Oyy, for me this is going to be such a logistical nightmare, but I think it's going to be brilliant in the end :D
August 31, 200916 yr Milesahead, I'm so jealous. Where in Orange County are you? I'm in Rancho Santa Margarita. I keep checking airfare but it's still really expensive, and with a husband and kids at home, unfortunately other things have to take priority sometimes. :cry: San Juan Capistrano. I'm going to be over there because I will be studying abroad in London. Lucky chance.
September 1, 200916 yr I certainly wouldnt queue any earlier than 6am! when i went to u2, both entrances onto the pitch were at the back how this corresponds outside entrances i dont know
September 1, 200916 yr I've been a Coldplaying member for years and never dare to post a message (too shy) :embarassed: To read about all of you lucky folks who are going to Wembley on September, 19th makes so happy for you and so, so, so sad at same time - I'm going to London the very next week (September 21) and even though I wish so bad I could go a few days earlier, in order to catch the show and sing loud and proud with all the Coldplaying members, I don't think I can afford it... :disappointed: So to all of you who are counting to days before the show I say "God damn you're so lucky!" :lol:
September 1, 200916 yr I think the GA entrances are B & C and A & F - I think you basically will queue from the south and north ramp, and shortly doors open you will be divided into the turnstilles, the whole think is pretty good organised, people however won't be able to push into the queue as security is there all the time. and forget to run down the stairs in the stadium as you def. will be held by security. Both entrances are opposite the stage with is quite usual in stadiums but the run (well fast walk) is not as bad as running through whole bloody venue in Munich.... As I said before Wembley is pretty good organised! P.

I can't get there til the morning of the 19th, and I assume there will be many people there before then. Semy's probably going much earlier, so do you think if I asked a security guard or something and if the people in front and in back of where he is are informed that one more person will be joining the line, that I'll be allowed to join him there? This is the part I'm most nervous about :uhoh: :worried:.

We got away with that with U2 because the people behind us were quite nice but it really depends a. what time you will join someone in the qeueu if it's at 3 pm it won't go down to well and quite honestly rightly so. We were letting loads of people in in the War Child Queue...:lol: :embarassed: I reckon it would be fine, it's Wembley so letting one person in is going to make no difference whatsoever, for all anyone else knows you've been there the whole time and have just gone to the loo, people will be coming and going throughout the day.
September 1, 200916 yr I normally give advance notice to the people behind me that people would be joining me in the queue later in the day... Most of the time they don't seem annoyed. But the most I've ever let join the queue is 2 others :uhoh:

I know but if the people behind you haven't seen one person in like 5 hours they could start to bitch about it, been there done that. Personally I much much prefer the whole wembley organsation as to what I have seen in Munich, nobody organised queues there, security in the front didn't gave out any water etc. P.
September 1, 200916 yr Everyone directly behind us are going to be Coldplayers though, we'll be taking up most of the queue for most of the day. The less hardcore will be coming later I think. Unless it's GA fans but they can get lost since they've already stated they'll be leaving after the girls play :dozey: :P

But the most I've ever let join the queue is 2 others :uhoh: same year - 1-2 people is normally not a problem, I let them in as well...I just get slightly pissed off if people think they can join queues 30 min. before the gates open purely because if stand there all day others can do the same. P.
