I usually queue up the entire day to get to the front, but for a gig as massive as Wembley I won't be surprised if people are going to camp overnight :thinking:

 

oh crap... :\ i think i can get away with an entire day of camping out (i shall need to pick out a really good book to get me through that), but i highly doubt i can get clearance for an overnight camp out w/o ppl freaking out at me.

 

but then, it'd also depend on when's the soonest i can pick up the tickets too...can't possibly be camping overnight, then next morning leave the spot/queue to pick up my ticket.

Hmmm I really don't know what's the policy of picking up tickets though :thinking:

 

Sometimes the box office is only open an hour before the show (unlikely in the case of Wembley because it's going to be massive).

 

But yeah that's probably a problem, unless someone can hold your spot for you without the people behind complaining.

i tried to find out from the website, but it wasn't that clear either. what i gathered was that you may be able to collect tickets earlier, but there's a possibility that you may only be able to collect them on the day itself subject to the organisers' decision. :\

I have a problem with my tickets too since I chose the delivery method. And so they are going to be mailed to my address in Singapore (maybe a week before the concert) when I'm already in London!!!

So are both nights sold out already???

Mmh, ticketline had send a mail to me, no box office because there are too many people on this day. They will only send out the tickets. :stunned:

I ordered my tickets from ticket master on the 8th of March, but they haven't come yet.. :worried:

ticketmaster doesn't mail out the tix so early from what i understand from the website options/FAQs. else i'd definitely have chosen the delivery method too (it's more assuring than collecting on the actual day, imo). what i've gathered is that it's only sent out like 1-2wks before the actual day...& that's too late for me if they're sending to me in Singapore. but from what aniskywalker's posted, i may need to keep a watch out for any such news from ticketmaster too.

i might be in London in coming end May, actually. so i'm considering going down to bug some ticketmaster sales kiosks, if not the Wembley box office itself about this. heh

alternatively, i'll try asking them about the possibility of topping up to have the tickets delivered to me instead...once i've worked out where in the world i'll be come Sep.

The worst case scenario would be asking my mum to express mail me the tickets :thinking: The postage would be more expensive than the tickets though!!! :lol:

Yeah, we've been trying to dust the cobwebs off here and there, because the idea is that for the bigger shows in the summer we'll play for a little bit longer. So we've been digging out some of the older songs which we haven't played for a while. That's actually been really good fun. We played Sparks today and we've been playing Rush Of Blood To The Head, Warning Sign and White Shadows. We're just building up the songbook, basically.

and i squee every time i read that they're rehearsing old songs and that they're planning to play for longer at the stadium shows :bomb:.

 

also, as people were talking about earlier, i'm nervous about how early we all should get there to be in the front and all that...but much earlier on in this thread there was talk saying that they might not allow people to start queing up until the morning of the event, since there's a concert the night before and there would just be too many people there all at once if they let the line form early. i bet they know what they're doing with crowd control, and i plan to call and ask them what the deal is like a week before showtime, but something tells me they're not going to allow people to camp overnight or anything like that because there will just be tooooo many people around :\

I've heard stories of people camping out 2 days before a U2 gig (although not @ Wembley), I don't know if it would be the same :thinking: Nothing's going to stop people from queueing up on the 18th night after most of the crowd from the first show disperses unless there's a strong security action against that happening.

btw, i've used the SingPost's SpeedPost Worldwide Express service to send stuff to UK quite a bit recently...delivery w/i 1-2 working days w/ tracking, though allowing 2-3 working days is more realistic, imo. maybe you can ask your mum to use that instead. cost me about SG$30+ (i recall it was <SG$35 per document) to send my uni applications out.

Oh that sounds pretty good too :D I was checking out FedEx's prices. Since the tickets might reach here about 1 - 2 weeks before the gig, 2-3 working days is still pretty alright. Hopefully nothing goes wrong in transit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ah...FedEx & DHL charge killer rates. i've had guests daym near bite my head off for having to tell them the courier cost...& cos i work at a hotel, there's the extra service charges.

 

well, i sent out documents to like 4 different places all over UK & they all made it to their destinations. so your ticket should reach you fine. SingPost is pretty reliable, imo. can't say the same for Pos Malaysia, unfortunately. *sigh*

 

i do hope that somehow ticketmaster lets me collect from the Box Office at least the day before *fingers crossed*...i can't imagine how else they expect to clear thousands of ppl collecting their tix on the actual day, especially if it's 1hr before showtime! from experience, even clearing hundreds of ppl w/i 2hrs for an event registration is a nightmare.

Yeah Singpost is alright I guess. Most of my overseas stuff get to their destination, and stuff I buy from overseas get to me with no problem.
