Coldplay on "Wetten, dass..?" (ZDF, ORF2, SF1); January 24th; *FIRST PAGE UPDATE*

Well, I think the interview was okay. I know we Germans often feel like we speak the worst English in the world. But I'm currently in Spain and talking to all the other students from all around the world made me realize that we might be the only ones who think of our English that way. I didn't meet a single Spanish person who was actually able to speak some decent English and forget about the French and Italian as well ... they can't do it either (at least the students here). Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, but this stay in Spain gave my "Wow, I speak English-Ego" a huge boost.

The strangest thing was to come here and hear from an American guy "Yeah, of course you speak English, you're German". :stunned: And the French, Spanish and Italian guys said pretty much the same.

Oops, sorry I'm rambling ... :inquisitive:

Anyway, Mirjam's English wasn't that good, but they understood her, they were able to communicate and I think she was just awfully nervous.

Funny interview by the way. I just didn't like the fact that she talked to Chris all the time.

The performance was okay ... Chris changed the melody too much in my point of view, but maybe he was just tired of always singing the same song, ... I wonder if that's possible. I wish he would just for once not dance like that on television. While touring we want to see as much Chris-action as possible (right?), but there's no room for that on Wetten, dass...?!

Will hurting himself and still continuing to play was great. I really like Will, he seems to be the secret leader of the band.

I think, and most of french do, that germans have a very good english accent cause english and german come from the same 'root' language....And you focus more on 'speaking' during english class, when in france we focus on grammar and theory... :\ We're a bit jalous of your good accent!! So don't beat yourself up ^^

>>I found the ITV interresting! I'm glad they speak about the movie 'young@heart'. I saw it and I cried when the old man sang Fix you, and I wondered at the time if the boys saw that movie too...Glad they did and loved it ^^

No I'm feeling pretty darned awful

Just watch this interview and performance over and over. You'll feel better in no time:wink3:

@KissesBirds: Thaaank you! :heart:

@Mimixx: Happy belated Birthday! :jester:

Oookay, and I think the interview was great. I can't really judge the interviewers english, but she was spontanoues and funny... maybe a bit stressed, not nervous but excited :sultan:

Ohhhohhhoh, and to go into the sauna with Coldplay, go girl, I would :laugh3:

The peformance was great too. Chris didn't sing the high notes, but he don't has to do this. Maybe he just didn't want to, or was in the mood for singing with lower voice.

And come on, I wished he would have danced even crazier. Freak out, baby!! I bet he doesn't care what the audience was thinking of his dancing... *g*

Regarding Lahr. I'd seen a red plane landing, when I got there 15 minutes later, I noted it wasn't the Viva jet, though.

Then I went to Offenburg. When I went into the hotel for using the toilet, I met Peter Maffay and took a photo with him. He was real nice, but why couldn't it be Coldplay?? :(

Then I met Timm (Yellow La Guy) and another girl, and another guy. We waited, waited, and blah, no luck, only stupid vans with black windows.

I was asking at the entrance if there were maybe still tickets left, from people that didn't show up. Apparently it wasn't. At this fucking ticket tout said I should go home, when I said I won't pay more than 10 € :laugh3:

At one point there was only me and a man whose daughter was inside the show, and he wanted to got in there too. But hey, it's Offenburg, they even don't let in two persons. I could have stand too :\ (in Karlsruhe they apparently let people in). Well, I better stop complaining about Offenburg now :P

I guess I really should have finished painting my sign. Maybe the vans would have stopped then. Ah well, I made new experiences, that's alway helpful for your life.

Oh and btw. I think we 4 persons were really the only fans. Timm and me (Coldplay fans), this girl (a media student just for the fun in Offenburg), and then Hermann, the paparazzo :P :laugh3: (*rofl* Sorry Hermann, but you're really one, right? :P )

They were maybe 20-30 people protesting against Scientolgy, and then later people who showed up for the city bet (the bet was the silliest I heard about as well). I though they'd do sth. cool in the city center, but no.

Next time I will try my luck at Berne. I still don't give up hope to film the Viva jet, and maybe meeting the boys :)

Thank you!

Oh, and a big thank you @ Little Miss Messy, for always updating me :chef:

You're welcome, no problem at all :)

Sorry that the update about their performance came with a bit of a delay, but I was so excited and rushed here first to find posts of people who saw it as well, that I nearly forgot to text you ... :(

But you have probably already seen all the files yourself :)

hey...

the perfomance was quite good unless chris`s "high tones"...he missed them...and his singing was to slow at one time...

I must say them are absolute amazing live (concerts) but on TV shows they seem to be very nervous for some reason...hmm...

look what I found here..

it's a blog entry but unfortunately it's in german but the writer and the commentators are refering to the impression of chris being drunk and that if you also look at the bleeding drummer it seems like they were on drugs since this were typical rockstar behaviours and the quality of Coldplay would've run low in the last time..

for me will's bleeding nose and chris' jumping around are expressions for their passions for making music ;) ♥

Ha, drunk and on drugs?

Surely a reputation that Coldplay have never and will never have again :laugh4:

:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

They're badass ... I bet they've destroyed their changing room ... drugs are evil! ;)

Ahhhh that interview was funny!!

Chris is so mischievous, trying to steal the cards  the girl held it together well, hahahaha

sleeping pills maybe?

I think the performance was not among their best. chris seemed to concentrate on the jumping more than the music.

that must have been a hell of sleeping pill

Rule Number 1: NEVER EVER post when drunk :embarassed:

drunk posts are higly entertaining for you fellow coldplayers ;)

:stunned: How brave were you just walking past the barriers!!

that must have been a hell of sleeping pill

Which leads to the next question ... :laugh3:

If they were on sleeping pills and Chris was still dancing and staggering like mad, how the hell would they behave if they were 'clean' :wink3: :laugh3:

hyperactive

Omg, I guess out of his jeans would come boosters and he would straight shoot into the sky

i don't know ... only active maybe ...

24th of January is my birthday

[/random]

Thanks for the news :D

well thats my lil brother's b'day too :laugh3:

happy birthday there :)

:D:D:D

Someone over at YouTube was writing that Chris has ADHD. I think it's quite possible that this is true. I only noticed a while ago, I must have some sort of it too.

New studies say it doesn't mean neccesarily that you're only hyperactice, it can mean that your (and/or) very dreamy as well. I think it fits. But I don't want to speculate too much over this now. Chris wouldn't like  *g*

And LOL Drugs and drunk, I guess it really must have seemed to some people like this. A bloody drummer and a weirdly dancing singer :laugh3: So funny.
