September 22, 200916 yr There would be camera's everywhere at Wembly if they were filming it. No one noticed apparently?
September 22, 200916 yr Too many points to quote. First off the Sound board issues. That thought crossed my mind. I do believe the issues were coming out of the board, I honestly believe it was mis-matched wires and nothing more. I Know how to do sound set up at that level. They indeed likely didn't notice because of their in ear monitors, but you can still hear with them in. As well the crowd mics they place will still have the chants and the B-stage moment. As to the signs posted, the ones around GM Place were from the company that did the Live 2003. Said we consented all that jazz. I wish I had taken a picture when I was in line. (In fact it was almost the exact same as the one you posted, logo and everything. So three shows shot with the company) Also the portable camera guys were in Vancouver too, I didnt notice them the first night, but when I was up front, they were up and down all night. One with a camera, another following him taking the film from him and labeling it. I still think they should do something a la NIN. Which was get crew with HD Handhelds (like the ones used to shoot the TV show The Office), put them throughout the crowd for a handful of concerts, then released them all for free. Over 120GB of video footage, from 8 locations I think. To this point, Barcelona, in my mind was the intended spot for the DVD. The only of the three recent shows with a crane set up. Vancouver, was for the archives as per what Andy told me the night of and Deb reaffirmed later on. Based off the way Wembley was done, I believe it is the same story. So now we await official word from them. My gut says Barcelona, although we all know how self conscious the boys get. They didn't release How We Saw The World because it wasnt good enough. I think we'll see all 3 concerts in our collections one day. Archives usually mean, to be released years down the road to improve sales. Look at U2 and all their old archived concerts seeing the light of day. I would also approve of all three.
September 29, 200916 yr i wish they will make a dvd from this tour!!! does anyone know wats goin with dvd?
October 18, 200916 yr I heard that they filmed for a Viva DVD in Vancouver. But I ALSO heard that they filmed Wembley as well. I hope they have a North American leg DVD and also a DVD of Wembley from the VIVA finale!! My life would pretty much be complete (all I would have left to do is 1. meet the band and 2. kiss chris!!!!)
October 18, 200916 yr i'd just wish they do something like paul mccartney's back in the us.. or aerosmith's you gotta move.. where it was filmed all over the tour with a documentary.. that would be soooooo awesome..
October 18, 200916 yr Sadly that's not possible, the only filmed the Toronto shows, the Barcelona show (but they had big sound problem so I guess they won't use this one), and probably the 2 Wembley shows (at least the first).. But if they release a DVD, anyway I'll be more than happy :wacky:
October 22, 200916 yr The Wembley gig wasn't lackluster, or was it? I was front row, so I didn't pay much attention to the crowd behind me. Whereabouts on the front row? (centre/ Jonny's ramp/ Guy's ramp?)
October 22, 200916 yr Inside scoop... picture taken @ wembley gig [/img] Loving that Viva testcard.... so Coldplay!
October 22, 200916 yr I dont know, but I am pretty sure they are releasing one and its filmed at Wembley. I think it will come out for Christmas, but thats my opinion. Anchorman did say on the official site that there are going to be a lot of surprises during the next few months!!! :D
October 22, 200916 yr Woops I meant Vancouver sorry :nice: Oh, ha, it's ok... I guess you were having a flashback to the failed Toronto filming of the Twisted Logic tour... Sigh, I wish that had come to light :disappointed:
October 22, 200916 yr Oh, ha, it's ok... I guess you were having a flashback to the failed Toronto filming of the Twisted Logic tour... Sigh, I wish that had come to light :disappointed: Exactly ! :D Yes, that sucks.. they better not do the same for this tour ! I have that filming, it's awesome
October 26, 200916 yr It was Vancouver. The only show actually filmed for a full DVD release was Barcelona. Which was botched, Vancouver was insane! As was Wembley. I hope they release A mix of Wembley and Barcelona and full Vancouver, that would be cool to get both the Arena and stadium shows. Both of which were amazing in their own rights!
October 26, 200916 yr Does anyone have have to toronto filming they could post? i would love to see it! :)
October 26, 200916 yr I don't think they're gonna use the Barcelona recording, the sound was awful and at those moments Chris didn't give the best of himself... But Vancouver and Wembley were filmed for the DVD too :nice:
October 27, 200916 yr Well here is the thing about Wembley. They need to decide if they want to give Uncle Jay a cut of all the money earned or not. Thats my view of it.
November 3, 200916 yr I watched How We Saw The World last night on TV, and the camera set up was the exact same, minus the camera on the tracks. For Vancouver that is, I am assuming Wembley too!
November 5, 200916 yr hi! I write here for the first time (sorry for my english) I want to say that I went to Barcelona's concert and before I went in the stadium I saw a lot of papers telling that the DVD of viva la vida tour was been recorded there. do you think they won't do it because of the technical problems? and they said that in other concerts? thank you :)
November 5, 200916 yr They filmed Vancouver and Wembley (at least, the first night, they were flyers just the same as Barcelona). Now we have to pray really hard, and hope we won"t have the same false hope as the live Toronto 2006...>.>
November 16, 200916 yr I was thinking, maybe we sign all a petition and send it tot the oracle. Because we just want the DVD.
