How can I watch MTV World Stage again?

Shall we petition MTV to do a repeat telecast of it?

This is quick off topic question. Did anyone open for the Oasis gig?

Those butterflies didn't fly to me, but I did fly towards them :P

was there a way to get down to the floor area? i was actually trying to get into that area after the gig to get some butterflies, but got turned away by the ushers.

& you guys looking for an app that copies stuff from your iPods to the PC/Mac? cos i should still have the ones i was using. for PC is a program called YamiPod & Mac is one called Senuti. or you can just refer to this site : http://lifehacker.com/394046/copy-music-from-your-iphone-or-ipod-to-your-computer-for-free

Nope :P

No opening act and probably why they came on quite early at 8.20 was quite surprised.

Still a bit gutted that i'll probably never hear "Don't Go Away", "Stand By Me" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" live.

Yayy, a fellow lifehacker too! :)

The ushers are complete miserable spoilsports! This is how Rudy and I got the butterflies: We went down the stairs to where the barrier is just next to the sound console... And I jumped the barrier.

:D

By the time I was done salvaging the butterflies, ushers had began to stop other people from jumping the barrier...

The ushers that day were horrible

Firstly they ushered people to the wrong seats, then they shouted @ us to sit down. And I don't see why the people behind the barrier can't go down to the floor after the show ends.

oooh...jumped the barrier ah. i didn't even get the chance. the usher was keeping an eye on me & made the first move to shoo me away. :disappointed:

being the well trained service industry staff that i am, i obliged & went back the way i came...i swear this industry has seriously cramped my style!

on another note, any of you gotten the new Tap Tap Revenge game? as in the Coldplay edition one? i now have a reason to stare all day at my iPod touch's screen again! :D

*rant incoming*

tho i feel a bit uncomfortable about how commercialised the Viva La Vida album era of Coldplay seems to have become...an iPod touch/iPhone game? tracks on Guitar Hero (or was it Rock Band)? but then, even the other big rock bands seem to be going the Guitar Hero & Rock Band route these days...hmmm

*end rant*

Being in the retail/service industry hasn't made me any less daring or thick-skinned :P

I know... first the iTunes commercial with Viva la Vida, then Guitar Hero, then Tap Tap Revenge :\ It's a little strange, because Chris was just saying in an interview last year that he doesn't want to do commercials and stuff. Are they being pressured by the label?

being in the service industry has made me more appreciative of the whole logic behind the Make Trade Fair campaign somehow...oddly enough.

& i have to admit i did love the iTunes ad. enough to want to make a wallpaper out of it. haha

but maybe you're right that the guys got pressured by the label. i read somewhere that Chris looks forward to a day when the band are no longer signed to a label (more freedom?). all these video game tie-ins & on popular games/platforms kinda stink of marketing gimmickery. which tends to lead right back to the greedy record labels, imo.

Five records and they'd fufil their contract with EMI. I would think they would go the way of Radiohead and release any future records independently.

potential for free album download online then! haha :D

tho there was a rumour i heard about Coldplay wanting to look into giving out a free album recording at the summer gigs? *fingers crossed*

I was hoping that would have been started before the Singapore gig :laugh3: but of course they can't do that so fast. Hopefully summer gigs then! :D

Dunno what their label would say though...

that would've been cool if they started doing it in S'pore! haha

but i can imagine that there's a lot of red tape & logistics to work out before this can ever be done. not to mention that you're looking at distributing at concerts with thousands in attendance at each venue.

i went down to the barrier and begged ppl to pick butterflies for me. haha. but the ones i got are like very trampled. still, there are really nice ppl who'd just grab a bunch for you. mine were picked by this uncle who looked more like my dad than a teen. lol.

you have to pay for senuti.

yeah. the trail ver. for senuti is limited to 100 songs, I think

yah lor, cos when i was collecting my mac i asked the apple guys they recommended senuti... cos its the only prog that can rip photos? but need to pay. ridiculous.

hmmm...ok ok. lemme rummage thru my Mac stuff (if i can still find them). see what was it i used for mp3 transfers.

True that. They did mention once about the difficulties of giving out a free DVD. But I hope it's successfully pulled off!

I had a dream last night. Actually, I think I had more than one dream, and both of them involved the Coldplay concert... Except this time I was standing in front row and everytime the band went backstage during intervals, a bunch of people from the audience were picked to follow them backstage... And I was picked, so I got to go into a changing room where Chris would get changed and so I got to meet Chris and I shook his hand...

Weird dream. Cuz the concert didnt look like it was in Singapore, cuz we went by foot and by LRT... But it didnt look like KL either... It looked a bit like Old Trafford...

But it was so realistic that when I woke up, I thought the whole thing really happened... In a moment of semi-consciousness, I grabbed my phone to check if the photos of Chris I had taken with my phone were in the album.

But alas....

Old Trafford :idea2:

Maybe it's a sign that you need to go to the Manchester date in the summer!!!!!!!

:laugh3: You know, I was actually planning to go to the Manchester gig because I initially planned to go visit my friends there after I graduate in August... Two birds one stone... But then Coldplay announced their Singapore concert so I cancelled the Manchester plan...

Is there any way to get tickets for that Manchester show now anyway?
