Apparently she's considering having her death filmed if it will help give her a children a secure future, financially speaking. Please, no, like seriously, no.

Am I being a miserable sod? Sorry, no offence, but, oh I don't know what I mean. It just seems wrong on so many levels, doesn't it?

...but why

Why the hell would you do that?

How would it HELP?

:shame:

Is she actually going to have her death filmed? Cos the way they were talking about it on the news yesterday, I thought they just meant she was giving interviews and stuff now... I didn't realise she was going that far.

Can't understand it myself, but I guess if you've lived your live in the media, you'd probably have a different perspective.

I wouldn't imagine it actually being broadcast though

I doubt they will film it, it would be too upsetting for her children

They might film it if she wants to be filmed dying alright, but this is probably about selling the story off etc. Plus I doubt her kids would actually get shown it.

Oh, rubbish media people. Apparently what she actually said was, "I've lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I'll die in front of them" (Thank you NZ: http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4849347a1860.html). She probably meant it in a 'figuratively speaking' way, not in a PLEASE FILM MY DEATH kind of way (although I wouldn't be surprised). Either way, the amount of press this is getting is nauseating.

I hate the way the media are reporting on this. I've never like her but I feel sorry for her. The woman is dieing and they should just leave her alone.

She's an attention whore. Everybody in the world faces death at some point. I have myself, and lived to tell the tale. I have also had one of my family members die in my arms.

Selling the film rights to your death so your kids can be rich? Disgusting. This woman should have been banned from public life when she racially abused Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother. Unfortunately there's no moral force big enough in the UK to lead any public sense, and Heat magazine et al will continue to buy up the rights.

She's a nobody who has made millions, somehow, from that very fact. I have huge sympathy for sufferers of terminal illness, and as I say I have had people die in my arms from it, but they didn't so much as kick up a fuss in the local papers. To go public when you have acted so badly for so long, and all in the name of money, is quite sickening, but nothing less than we have come to expect from Ms Goody. Have some bloody dignity.

I pity those kids being brought up in the future by that insidious Tweedy. A nasty piece of work indeed.

Eh? She's the one selling them the stories!!

She might be but she is seriously ill. Even if she wanted to sell her story, it would still be wrong to buy the rights in my opinion.

A very interesting point, and thank you, you have made me think a bit more. I agree that it's worse for the media to buy the rights than it is for her to offer them, but it's very chicken and egg, isn't it?

At the end of the day she's a despicable person with an even worse boyfriend (husband now?) who has made money from selling every aspect of her life. She now has a terminal illness, for which I'm sure we are all terribly sorry, but she spends her time still selling her stories to whoever will pay the most??

Sickening.

I don't get it. I mean no matter how much she likes media attention the pics/ stories on the front page of certain papers must affect her.

I agree with you it's totally sickening. I don't really read those kind of magazines but I think the likes of "Closer" would sometimes cover stories like their "dream wedding" even if it's about non-celebrities.

 I quite agree - I feel sorry for her and all that, and she doesn't deserve should an awful fate but at the end of the day, how many people will shed a tear..?

And what's the betting the despicable boyfriend has only married her to get his hands on her cash...?

I could never stand her and have never been interested in any aspect of her life.

However, I can't blame her for doing what she's doing now, as long as all the money does indeed go to her children's upbringing.

By going totally public, she has also raised awareness of cervical cancer, which can only be a good thing.

I won't be reading any of the stories or watching any tv programmes about her, though.;)

You can raise awareness without sharing every aspect of your life with the press though.

This situation is different, as she only has months to live.

the awareness is definitely working. according to one paper I read today, the number of young women attending their regular smear tests has risen 20% since Jade went public with her cancer.

I think it's sad that she is just 27 and only has weeks to live. I think she said she is putting a memory box together for her boys. So sad.

It's her own fault for all the media crap.

This sounds creepily like that movie "The life of David Gale". ( I hated that movie...)

I honestly don't give a shit

*swoon*

Say more anti-social stuff! It's dead sexy. :D

Oh ffs, Gordon Brown's getting in on the act now.

WHY???!!! What does she do? What's her unique selling point, why the fucknut is she a CELEBRITY?! Yes, she's a young mum with kids, next. I really shouldn't be as bothered about this as I am, but, for some reason, it's all making me ridiculously angry.

I'm with you Sally, what is happening is sad for Jade, but I'm fed up with the media circus over her.
