A Rush of Blood to the Head:

"They say start as you mean to go on"

I heard it as...

"They say status needs to grow old."

On my first listen to Yes, when Chris sings "Sin, stay gone" I though he said "sixty-nine" :sneaky: Must be the sexy voice.

OMG, is, "Sin, stay gone" right then?! Cos up until just now when i read that post, i actually thought he was singing, "Say, stay calm." :shocked2:

Oh and also, on Clocks, for ages i thought Chris sang, "Shouldn't i pull off my head?" when the actual lyrics are, "Shoot an apple off my head."

Strawberry Swing:

"Cold cold water, what you say?" was "Cold cold water, wash your sins"

I thought that line was "Come on over, What you say"

i also thought that in Viva la Vida was "Pillars of sand, Pillars of Sand" since like the day it came out till a few months ago :P i was like "Why does he say sand twice!" then i heard it live and was like "did he say salt?" and we i got home i downloaded LRLRL and it sounded like salt on that one so i was like OHHHHH lol

Clocks:

"Tides that I tried to swim against fought me down upon my knees" was "Tides that I tried to swim against fucked my donut 'pology"

Used to think the 'shoot an apple off my head' was 'should and i pulled of my head' - didn't make any sense at all.

Also in Speed of Sound when he sings 'Japan and China all lit up' I thought it was 'chipping and chiming, all lit up'

Used to think the 'shoot an apple off my head' was 'should and i pulled of my head' - didn't make any sense at all.

I thought it was "shouldn't I pull off my head?"

I thought it was "shouldn't I pull off my head?"

I thought it was "shouldn't I pull off my hat." :P

I have a long list of misheard lyrics, buy I'm too lazy to think of them right now. :uhoh:

I thought it was "shouldn't I pull off my head?"

SAAAAAME. This and "shoot an apple off my head" have the exact same pronunciation here when sung to the tune of the lyric.

haha i was wrong with teh lyrics of Yes too

i thought that

But it's not easy when she turns you on

Since they gone

was "Since day one"... not too bad i don't think :P

A Rush of Blood to the Head:

I heard it as...

"They say status needs to grow old."

I thought they said that too until right this second!:shocked2:

Nobody has answered my question though,

In Speed of Sound he says something that sounds like "A pig-pen in China all layed up". That can't possibly be right...what's the real line?

it may be "before i see things the right way up?"

but i think its "Japan and China All lit up"

^ I never knew what they were saying until about a month ago, so whenever it got to that part I would just mumble something then continue singing

I mishear songs a lot...

Viva la Vida

...Viva la vida, a sword, and shield

Chinese Sleep-Chant

Filet mignon

Filet mignon

Sleep...

:stunned: I'm weird.

I have a question about the lyrics in Daylight.

Is the lyrics, "Slowly breaking through the daylight." or "Slowly breaking through a daylight."?

I looked it up on the official site and it's the second one,

but I was watching Coldplay LIVE 2003 and when they sang daylight, it sure sounded like they were singing, "Slowly breaking through the daylight."

secretspy: Sorry to burst your bubble, but methinks you've still got it wrong. It's "sin, stay gone" (or so says the sheet music).

Follow-up to my post above... I think the song (Yes) is about temptation, hence the reference to sin...
