@ab: i love that idea! now im going to sing it with Guy instead of god!

whahahhah YES!! Guy is my house and in My head so true!!! hahah now im gonna think of that when i listen to it and i absolutely LOVE that song!

I knew you two would love it! :P

This will definitely end up on my banner when I go to a CP concert! :smug:

On my first listen to Yes, when Chris sings "Sin, stay gone" I though he said "sixty-nine" :sneaky: Must be the sexy voice.

Any way, I told Mel and Lori about it in Chicago, and we would sing it with sixty nine lyric.

I 1st thought it was "Since they gone"! :P

I must say I don't really care about the lyrics, as long as the vocals go well with the melodies then that's all what matters to me!

I prefer to attach any song with what I see fit, not necessarily something related to the lyrics.

not unless i make a banner of it first Ab...:sneaky::sneaky:

High Speed:

"I spayed you all"

I still don't know what he says to this day. I'm sure it's something about high speed, but beyond that I have no idea.

In VLV, I have always heard "I hear angels and the bells are ringing..."

Even though I now know it's "Jerusalem bells", I still sing angels.

everyone messes up viva la vida. they all think it is "I know St. Peter will call my name", when it is, in fact, WON'T.

In amsterdam, instead of "its no cause for concern", i thought he said "its no cause, its fuckin insane"

And i thought that the swearing was tasteful. :)

lol typo

I think it's "High speed you on"

& please don't ask me what that means!

i think its "high speed you're on"

correct me if im wrong though!

I thought he was saying "all winter we had candy.."

Away over, on the rooftops, it was dandy  I'm singing it like that from now on.

Also, the first time I bought and played through A Rush of Blood to the Head, I could not understand the part after the 2nd chorus in Amsterdam. I sort of made phonetically similar noises while singing along. :laugh3: It also took me a while to figure out AROBTTH's chorus.

At some point in time I realized it'd be smart to look a the liner notes...

I also made minor modifications to Cemeteries of London and Yes >.> They make sense, though, so it's really hard for me not to sing the wrong lyrics.

I first thought that Speed Of Sound lyric went like this:

The flirts came flying from the underground

I thought it was a pretty weird lyric :p

haha i remember i always used to think it was "high spacial" except pronounced "spayshual" and i was like that makes no sense!

and about speed of sound, i used to think it was "words came flying from the underground"

and in what if, for the longest time i couldnt figure out what he was saying on the line "you know that darkness always turns into light"

i used to just hum on the "you know that darkness" part and then go "so let's turn in tonight." on the "always turns into light" part. i finally had to look up the lyrics

in clocks on the chorus i used to think he was just going "oooooooooh ahhhhh" instead of "yooou arrrre"

I thought it was "I know Saint Peter WILL call my name" :\

I first try to figure out songs lyrics but I'm not very successful so I end up searching for them on Google :D

Can somebody tell me is it "Once you're gone it was never, never an honest word" or is it with "you've gone" or "you'd gone" or "you know" or something else? I can't find what the right lyrics are.

I've been listening to Low and thought it was: "all you ever wanted was love, but you never looked hot enough"....it's "hard enough"...I know now....:wacky:

 This is some kind of interesting. Why do I immediately think of Guy saying this?

I remembered one of my misheard lyrics today:

At the beginning of "X&Y" I understood

Trying hard to speak and

Fighting with my weekend

instead of

Trying hard to speak and

Fighting with my weak hand

:laugh3:

Oh yeah there's misread lyrics all the time

I always misread things

Hahaha, awesome.

This thread came back just in time. Last night I was listening to the LeftRightLeftRightLeft version of Glass of Water and heard "Cling to the mast! Spend your whole life living, in your pants!"

Freudian slip?

Hahaha, awesome.

Yes, "weekend - weak hand" is like "four candles - fork handles" :D

Speaking of Freud:

The Unconscious
