i might have posted this already a long time ago ()

but back when i had only heard clocks a few times (this was before i was even familiar with Coldplay, i had heard Clocks on the radio and such) the chorus when he says "youuuuu areeee" i always just thought he was going "ooooooh ahhhhhh"

Misheard Viva!

I mishear songs a lot...

Viva la Vida

...Viva la vida, a sword, and shield

lol... i tot this was it too! then bout a hundred listens later,

i got it! haha.. ''be my mirror , my sword and shield!''

:-P

secretspy:[/color] Sorry to burst your bubble, but methinks you've still got it wrong. It's "sin, stay gone" (or so says the sheet music).

oh really? that sounds way more right then what i had! but i looked it up online!, i guess they were worng lol

I thought clocks was " i beg i beg ... please, singing" something like that, with the word please :D and it sounded good :D

and it actually is

"Oh I beg, I beg and plead, singing"

In Life in Technicolor ii

I used to sing

"Time only can lead you on"

But its..."Time'll leak and lead you on"

Also in "Yes"

I used to hear

"If there's any screaming let the wind blow us down."

But it's...

"Dizzily screaming, let the windows down.

Anways, that's wikipedia said.

Oh, thanks for this one, I also thought it was "Time only can lead you on"!

Cemeteries of London:

Where Victorian ghosts pray

I heard:

Where toilet ghosts spring

Not kidding ... :disappointed:

I never really understood what is said in Reign Of Love, but I would sing "He's Coldplaying" instead of "Knees go praying"...

and in 42 my sister would sing "I am living in a well" instead of "I am living in as well"

And in Viva La Vida we would sing "Once you'd known" instead of "Once you'd gone"

Okay, what the hell does Chris say during the third verse of The World Turned Upside Down? You know the one:

"...All of the surface and the underneath

Suh geo mellow and a sex a key, oh uh

And everything under the sun"

Has anyone figured that out?

EDIT: I forgot there was a lyrics section of the official website, so I went to look it up:

X is Y

The land, sea, rivers, trees, the stars, the sky

365 degrees

All of the surface and the underneath

ah

And everything under the sun

And everything under the sun

They don't even include that line!

For the LONGEST time, I thought in "What If" the lyrics were "Ooh, let's try", instead of "Ooh, that's right." Personally, I think "let's try" sounds better and makes more sense, but I'm not in the band, so...

"I don't wanna be a soldier, or a crapper of some stinking shit that snows... far below..." in Violet Hill

hahahah thats ffuunnnnyyyy

:awesome:

Made my day!

"Have brought me down upon my knees"

I thought it was fucked me down upon my knees :stunned:

I have one dirty mind..

"I don't wanna be a soldier, or a crapper of some stinking shit that snows... far below..." in Violet Hill

I thought it was like that, as well.

The Goldrush...

Actual lyrics: There's a tiny little crackle on the telephone line

I heard: There's a tiny little freckle on the telephone line

I was always confused as to why the hell there would be a freckle on a phone line :embarased::facepalm:

"I don't wanna be a soldier, or a crapper of some stinking shit that snows... far below..." in Violet Hill

OMG hahahahahahaha :laugh3::laugh3:

'There's a tiny little record on the telephone line'

instead of

'There's a tiny little crackle on the telephone line'

The first time I heard Amsterdam I though that he sang "Tied to the news"

When it was "Tied to the noose"

When my mum watched Live 2003 , she thought Chris sang "Monkey Rides" instead of "Open up your eyes" :wtf:

haha i was wrong with teh lyrics of Yes too

i thought that

But it's not easy when she turns you on

Since they gone

was "Since day one"... not too bad i don't think :P

I thought that as well! :laugh3:
