yeah well that is my opinion of course... I just personally never found anything that special about them, sure they have some good songs, but I found so many good bands tragically underrated... my opinion again :)

I think everyone's blowing this out of proportion. I haven't heard it, but considering Bono, that doesn't seem like something he would do. Bono puts on a bit of a farcical "Were the Best Band Ever; Bar None!" on occasion, half-jokingly, so this comes as no surprise either. I suppose, he's acknowledging Coldplay's growing success, and it's just a humorous jab at one-another; nothing more.

Anyhow, they've worked together quite a bit in the past.

Just like the Sachsgate affair - what was funny about Brand telling an old man he'd slept with his granddaughter and as a result Sachs no longer has a relationship with her. Absolutely hilarious, as is this attack on Chris.
