February 28, 200917 yr honestly speaking, Coldplay is much better than U2 because U2 are more of a NAME now , at least that's how I see it... I mean U2 might be good,but i really don't see anything special 'bout 'em... Exactly. I've liked quite a few U2 songs in the past, although mostly the older material, but I would never have said I was a "fan", as I never felt any "connection" with the band. Plus their more recent material has generally lacked the anthemic quality of the earlier releases, which has been to their detriment.;) Plus as the quality has dipped, Bono's ego just seems to have got more and more inflated.;) As a live band they are still phenomenal, though, and I will no doubt still try to go and see them if I get the chance. This has nothing to do with Bono's daft comments, though.;)

I am sure Chris is a great guy and general won't harm anybody however to be a frontman of any band you need have a biiiig ego and I for once can't imagine how the band or his wife copes with his hyperactive etc. I couldn't!
