March 24, 200917 yr Haven't tried, tell you the truth. But I used to snowboard every winter. Unfortunately I've outgrown my board :\
March 24, 200917 yr It's my favourite activity. I returned from a birthday week's skiing in Les Arcs last week, and had a fantastic time. If I could afford to go more than once a season, I would definitely do so.
March 24, 200917 yr Yes!! I really hope I can get over to Europe to do some skiing there one day. The mountains in New York are nothing compared to the Alps, I'm sure!

March 24, 200917 yr Author As for me i prefer cross-country skiing as I'm afraid of steep slopes. I hope you'll enjoy my mini-video ... and the picture. ;)

March 24, 200917 yr I prefer downhill skiing as I love steepness and speed!!:D Absolutely! I always ask my friends who cross-country ski-- why would you ever want to ski up??
March 24, 200917 yr Absolutely! I always ask my friends who cross-country ski-- why would you ever want to ski up?? Well it seems too much like hard work to me!!:P Having to "pole" while on the slopes is bad enough!!;)
March 24, 200917 yr Cross Country Skiing seems more appealing than downhill skiing for me on a side note, I always feel like an idiot typing "Skiing" it seems wrong
March 24, 200917 yr Les Menuires is one of the ugliest places I've ever skied (and I've been there more than once). I found Les Arcs infinitely prettier, and the best French ski resort I've been to so far.;)
March 24, 200917 yr Author Les Menuires is one of the ugliest places I've ever skied (and I've been there more than once). I found Les Arcs infinitely prettier, and the best French ski resort I've been to so far.:wink2: If you got up les Ménuires in La Croisette area, you'll find a host of English people that go there every year. They love this mountain resort. There's an English pub called The Skilt where you can use Internet free + waiters are English. I've been five times to Les Ménuires. Before I went to Belle Plagne but i didn't like the area for cross-country skiing. You must go up on foot and when you get there you're exhausted.
March 24, 200917 yr I thought I'd love it but I just couldn't get the hang of it and eventually falling over ever 100m bored me enough to hand in the skis and just hit the bar on the last day... :(
March 25, 200917 yr no i dont like skiing but i loooove my snowboard :P to become true.. skiing is nice of course though i prefer snowboarding since a few years.. one day i will try skiing again. i remember that i loved racing :) currently i go for the powder and the deep snow..
March 25, 200917 yr I love skiing so much, especially in France where I used to go every year. Havn't been for three years now :( The best parts are taking in the scenery when there are amazing blue skies and mountain peaks all around you, and also making yourself do hard black runs with mogels... it's great. Worst part is ski runs that are too busy. Not fun. I learnt how to snowboard a few years ago as well. :nice: Ive been to Les Menuires twice and all of that skiing area which is great (Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens. Ive also been to Alpe d'Huez, Champagny en Vanoise, Flaine, La Plagne, La Rosière, Les Arcs, Les Carroz, Les Gets, Morzine, Avoriaz, Tignes, Valmorel and some places in Canada and America. The last place I went skiing was Milton Keynes
