Swine Flu - latest news/discussion

Featured Replies

I think we don't have to worry too much since the virus can be easily treated at the moment. Although the virus seems to be spreading and more and more cases are detected I am convinced that there won't be many deaths in the developed countries. Experts say that classic flu medication is effective against H1N1 and people can even buy Tamiflu online which is not recommended though. However, I think the first panic has ended and now the virus is under control.

there is now one confirmed case in my house.

nah, not really :P. i've had the flu for the past several days, but i highly, highly doubt that it's H1N1. it doesn't seem severe enough. not to say i'm enjoying it by any means

there are now several cases in my state, supposedly two (perhaps unconfirmed) cases in two different bordering towns to mine.

so scaryyyyyyyyyyyyyy... is san francisco affected too?

The pig has oinked in Oklahoma now, too.

Swine Flu

This swine flu is a swine. It has taken the whole world by storm....caught unaware sleeping. The only way to keep this monster at bay is to be HYGEINIC all the time. What I mean is was your hands as frequently as possible in the day. Cover your face when you sneeze or cough or someone else does it. The worst part is that it not only spreads among humans but also from animals to humans.

In the UK it's now virtually non-existent. The news is now all about swines of a different kind - fraudulent politicians.;)

still all over the news here too. not as much as it was a few weeks ago, of course, but it crops up a few times a day. just because the mass hysteria has faded and england has a new huge story to cover doesn't mean the problem has gone away completely.

There's now 11 cases in Melbourne. 3 days ago there were only 3 people suspected in Australia THE COUNTRY. Too close to home, i say...

EVERYBODY PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, but then it was never a huge problem in the first place. It was massively exaggerated from the very start.

there's a big talking in my country now since we knew yesterday that:

there are at least 11 cases confirmed in a military camp.

that camp didn't informed about it until few days ago and so a school went to visit it this week, so many kids could have got that flu too.

other sources say that there are 40 militia with flu in that camp, but yet government says there are only 11 confirmed ones.

the causes of this hasn't been said yet.

about civil people time ago we've reaches 100 infected, all recovered already and at home.

  • 2 weeks later...

news has said that may be a high school will be closed for a week because there are 25 possible cases there :stunned:
