This isn't so good.

We have about 15 kids coming from Mexico to my work...

I wonder how that's going to work out

:stunned:

Call in sick - immediately - and then run for the hills!!

Three cases now confirmed in my town. I almost wanna get it so that I can be done with it.

Some kid got it at my school, so no school till may 11th. :D

OH NO! Its HAMTHRAX!! Everyone this is a major SNOUTbreak. Get the OINKment fast before this spreads to become a SPAMdemic. APORKalypse!!

The way to approach any outbreak is through prevention more than cure, and if I'm permitted to do so, I wish to expound on the topic.

First, transmission is through contact, so wash hands a lot, especially if you're in public places with a lot of door handles to pull open.

Second, stay strong! Get plenty of rest, eat healthy meals, exercise, and reduce stress whenever possible.

Third, keep the humidity levels moderate. Virus particles break down faster in humid air.

Fourth, get enough vitamin C each day to stay healthy, and stay emotionally balanced if possible - stress reduces the immune system's ability to fight off infections.

Fifth, relax! Worrying about it causes stress and reduces our immune systems' fighting ability - so chill out, sit back, and hide somewhere safe in a bunker until the bug wipes out half the human population.:laugh3:

But remember: as unfortunate as it is, occasionally getting exposed to viruses (and hopefully just having an immune response) is the way our immune system "learns" to deal with viruses. So, stay healthy, and if you do catch it, then you won't be wiped out by the bug. Also, I read somewhere that copper (and for that matter silver) is anti-bacterial / anti-viral, so plating your door knobs, or replacing them with copper ones might be a good idea, especially if you're in charge of a public space. Plating kits are available from scientific / hobby places, so this option sounds like good preventative medicine.

^^^ well, that does it. I`m fucked.:laugh3:

thankies, Chuckster.

I can't call in sick for two weeks :P

Some kid at our school apparently has it as well!

Then why the hell is the school still open? That's asking for trouble!!:stunned:

There's no reason to close the school down. It's not like the student is walking around hugging everyone. She hasn't been at school all week.

The only thing I don't understand is bringing 15 kids from Mexico City to our school. Now that's asking for trouble :P

Fear not everybody! New lemsip on the market!

Stop being a spoilsnort.

Ummm better you grow up?

Rather you finally get that "sense of humour" by-pass you clearly so desperately need.:smug:

I feel sick.

I've been coughing all week.

Tonight I had chills.

Don't know if I have a fever, I haven't checked.

If I die, I'm sorry, everybody. I know you'll miss my awesomeness.

Then I had some tea and my throat feels better so I'm probably okay. :nice: I never get sick and my whole family has a pretty good immune system, so I think I'll be fine.

Stef mentioned something in one of his Youtube videos about swine flu being particularly lethal against people who don't get a lot of wheat (gluten) in their diet. Which is why it kills mostly Mexicans so far.

Mexicans dont eat wheat???

Someone I know at school was terribly sick. All red-faced and coughing. Probably just a flu or whatever and we were sitting at the same table.

All I could think was holy shit, she better not have freaking swine flu. So I was slowing edging away, trying not to breath. :P
