Swine Flu - latest news/discussion

Featured Replies

As long as that person's not sneezing or coughing where mists or droplets in the air might reach you, there's little chance of catching it. But door knobs, counters, any surfaces touched by someone with the flu can spread it; also, you're immune system can handle it, if you get plenty of rest, eat right, exercise, and stay on top of things to avoid excessive stress.;)

Plus, being exposed to it, but not catching it actually strengthens your immune system, so if you're exposed again, your immune system will latch onto the virus particles and gobble them up.:)

Is there any confirmed cases in Asia yet?

I knew that there are 4 suspected cases in Korea.

:\

They're now saying that a pig in the States might have contracted the flu from a farmer who had visited Mexico!!:stunned:

Yeah apparently it could have started in California. The rumourmill is running overdrive.

First case confirmed of the AH1N1 virus in one person in my country was just announced today.

40 confirmed cases, here, 32 of them are ok and taking medicines at their homes.

:o many cases in so few time, there's another indirect infected.

people is stopped in a hotel in Hong Kong.

no new cases in my region, but in the near areas there are many cases. :worried:

btw the guy from my uni is ok, off the hospital already and has recovered well.

there are more than 700 cases confirmed in the world :stunned:

I know they shut down an entire hotel in Hong Kong a few days ago, not allowing anybody to come or leave because of one infected guest. I'm honestly not aware of the outcome of that.

daryl!

be careful you too, i've heard that there are 11 cases in Barcelona :o

I've heard that this type of influenza is not as worse as the bird flu.

But, that doesn't mean we have to stop from being alert.

I heard it reached up to Maine...

I'll start to be more worried when it actually reaches New Hampshire... If it does at all. Of course, I'm still on alert but I'm not too worried.

8 spanish are in the Hong Kong hotel :o

54 cases confirmed here :o only 11 of them are yet at hospital.

They said on CNN earlier that women seem to be more badly affected than men for some reason.
