April 26, 200917 yr I noticed that on their new album they have a song called "Viva la Gloria!" and another song called "Viva la Gloria?" 1. "Viva la..." 2. The "Lost" symbols (!,?) What do you think?
April 26, 200917 yr I doubt it; just coincidence. Green Day has been around since I was in high school, and let's just say Ive already attended my HS ten year reunion...a few years ago. Think they've developed into themselves, and earlier on, had more punk pop influences which grew into the GD we hear today. Not my favorite band, but I've seen them a few times, and they've definitely never gone out of their way to please corporate america or to add punctuation to song titles in homage to another rock/pop group.
April 26, 200917 yr ehh thats strange............ i dont really listen to them anymore.............thanks for pointing that out!

I was going to say the same thing. Doesn't quite seem like Green Day's flair to do something like that. I remember them from the days of yore and every other girl had a crush on the lead singer, while I always thought he looked sort of trollish. Ah, 8th grade.
April 26, 200917 yr well, in that case, we were influenced by ricky martin....in all seriousness, i dont think so, at least not to the degree some are suggesting
April 27, 200917 yr i agree, it doesnt seem likely for Green Day to do something like that. but you have to admit that's kinda strangee
April 27, 200917 yr Well Green Day sucks, but Coldplay is awesome...hmmm, I don't see any similarities there.
April 27, 200917 yr Because they used the word Viva and used punctuation? Man, you've got to be able to come up with better conspiracy threads than these
April 27, 200917 yr  their new album has many coincidences.. like the artwork, does not remind you any album?
April 27, 200917 yr  their new album has many coincidences.. like the artwork, does not remind you any album? Hey, you're right!
April 27, 200917 yr Yeah and one from MY Chemical Romance And guess what !! i just had the new they are coming in Portugal in September :dance::dance::dance: I always wanted to see them live !! :D finally!!!
April 27, 200917 yr I rather like GD  Whether or not it's an influence, who knows. It does seem likely though, but that shouldn't distract from the music. I'm interested in how their new album sounds like.

April 27, 200917 yr yeah i'm kinda disappointed with the album cover..:\ I'm kinda disappointed in everything Green Day does :)
April 27, 200917 yr I also like Green Day :) But I seriously doubt that Billie-Joe Armstrong would listen to Coldplay, let alone be influenced by them.
April 28, 200917 yr I both enjoy and despise Green Day depending on what aspect we're talking about. As for this particular topic, "Viva la..." is used for so many things, and well before Coldplay got around to it, for that matter.
April 28, 200917 yr Doubt it, Need to hear it first. I like Green Day though, And if they were influenced, thats even Better :)
April 28, 200917 yr welll..... I dont know if any of you noticed but at the Grammy Awards 2009, when Green Day came out to present an award, Billie Joe gave Chris a wave so there may be a history there we dont know! they could be friends....lovers....etc lol
