June 21, 200917 yr My first thread for this month. :dozey: I'm on my way to get my friends listening to Coldplay. :D I've tried some strategies but didn't work for me. :\ And I just spread the Coldplay love in an EDUCATION messageboard. :uhoh: Sounds inappropriate huh? :confused:
June 21, 200917 yr I don't know anybody who I could attract to listening to Coldplay. Either they already do or they listen to screamo/rap/pop crap. One reviewer for Prospekt's March said something like "if you need a good review to listen to Coldplay I don't know where your head's at" and I agree. Either you like them or you think they're boring/banal/crap/what-have-you.

June 21, 200917 yr yeah, i've been able to convert friends. they kind've have to like coldplay since i listen and talk about them all the time. :D another way is to wear coldplay things and see if they mention something. i've had a few people come up to me and say "oh, have you seen them live? they're great." and i go "four times, honey. :smug:" :P! so, that's how i do it. :D!

June 21, 200917 yr make them listenning more and more coldplay songs even when they don't want and in the end they will finally accept listenning as you're being heavy with this...and the important in this is that i converted three on 6 :lol: this is what i do personally :laugh3: and CLOCKS works well too :sneaky:

SHUT UP! We don't even care about your favourite song at all." :dozey:

June 21, 200917 yr I can't seem to succeed in converting my friends. :sad: Most of them know Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, etc but that's about it... my best friend heard some more though and she loves White Shadows. :D
June 21, 200917 yr well, i work for mtv and i used to be a script editor/producer for a weekly show, so i included their music and bits on coldplay on the show whenever i could. fun! :smug:
June 21, 200917 yr i converted one of my friends just by talking about them so much and giving her all their music. it helped that she already liked them a little bit, but then she came with me to the concert.....CONVERSION COMPLETE.

I gave my nan the cds and she loves them (her fave is 42) and i also burn cds for my friends who enjoy them so they will listen to it. My best friend recently said he is actually starting to like them after i gave him the cds last year. He had always said he has hated them so i am happy he has been converted now.
