Coldplay to guest on The Simpsons Tuesday, July 28, 2009 Coldplay have been announced as celebrity guest voices for the upcoming 21st season of The Simpsons. Frontman Chris Martin is the only member of the British rockers to receive a speaking part, but the rest of the band will make an appearance. The episode sees Homer winning the lottery and hiring the band to play a concert just for Bart and him. What's the punchline? According to Simpsons executive producer Al Jean, "When Bart goes to the bathroom, Coldplay has to stop." We'll have to wait until the winter to see if Chris and the boys can top the show's previous musical guests U2, Smashing Pumpkins and Aerosmith.
