Sometimes if you can't expand a topic into story form, you can put it in a neat little poem and impress everyone with your clever use of the English language. :)

November 25, 200916 yr Coldplay in Oz Coldplay in Oz Prologue Chris's eyes fluttered open. He was spread-eagled in his seat, his feet touching the window, head on the floor. Whaaa.... where are we? What time is it? Chris blinked and checked his surroundings. The plane seemed to be OK, aside from the piles of music equipment that covered the floor. "Chris? You OK?" Jonny picked his way around the piles of instruments to Chris's seat. "Yeah, I'm fine, Jonny. Where's Will and Guy?" "Guy's in the cockpit. I think they saw something." Jonny helped Chris up, and they went into the cockpit. Guy was staring out the window, mouth agape. "What is it, Guy? We crash into an Aztec temple or something?" Chris laughed. The plane was supposed to land in Mexico City two hours ago. "Boys…. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore," said Guy, pointing out the window. Chris and Jonny stepped toward the window and looked outside. What awaited them was truly queer… Chapter 1 Outside the cockpit window, the Emerald City of Oz lay before them like a sparkling crystal. A crowd of truly unique and Ozzy people and animals crowded around the wreck of the plane. Princess Dorothy stood in front of the crowd, Toto in her arms. Beside her stood the Patchwork Girl, The Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman, and the Cowardly Lion, inspecting the wreckage warily. Princess Ozma, Tik-Tok, and the Wizard were approaching the plane door. "Who are these people?" asked Jonny, scratching his head. "I think we're in Oz," said Will, who was just coming out of the lavatory. The door of the plane swung open, and Ozma, Tik-Tok, and the Wizard walked aboard the plane. "Christopher Martin. Jonny Buckland. Guy Berryman. Will Champion. We have been expecting you," said Ozma, kissing each boy on the cheek as she spoke.The Wizard shook each man's hand vigorously. "Gree-tings, Cold-play. I am Tik-Tok, ro-yal ro-bot army of Oz, and new-ly app-oint-ed head of the Oz-ian Tel-epor-tation Com-mitt-ee," said Tik-Tok, his round copper body shiny from a polishing session a few minutes before. He jerkily shook hands with Chris. "Well, hello, Tik-Tok. I'm Chris, and this is Jonny, Will and Guy. Miss Ozma, if I may be frank, what ARE we doing in Oz, exactly?" "Well, Ozma is having her birthday next week, and we were wondering if you would perform a concert for her present…" replied the Wizard. "Can I meet the Scarecrow?" asked Guy. "Well, yes, if you perform–" "And can I meet Dorothy and Scraps and the Tin Man and the Frogman and the Cowardly Lion too?" continued Guy excitedly. "If you agree to perform, we'll hook you up with the most swankified room in the palace for a week. What do you say, boys?" queried the Wizard. "Well… Jonny, what do you think?" Chris asked. "If we can have cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day we're here, it's a yes from me!" "And can I meet Polychrome and the Hungry Tiger and Trot and Betsy too?" asked Guy. "Yes, you may, Mr. Berryman, if you agree to our offer," repeated the Wizard. "I guess I'm in then," muttered Will. "I'm in too. CAAAAAKE!" shouted Jonny excitedly. "If this means we can hang with everyone, I'm in!" said Guy. "Then, welcome to Oz, boys," said Chris. to be continued...
November 25, 200916 yr Hi everyone! I just want to say that I am alive! Yaaaaay! :P And I have been reading everyone's stories, even if I have been skipping over the, um, reviewing part. :bigcry: I'm so sorry...I know how important feedback is to authors. :shame: I also want to say that a new chapter of Spring & Winter is on the way, but it seems as if I've fallen into a pattern with this story: 1 chapter a week. Kind of like a TV show. I'm so very sorry, my friends, for letting you down.
