Sound Relief DVD Announced

Featured Replies

Following a historic Helpmann Award win for Sound Relief last night, Michael Gudinski announced plans to release the highly anticipated Sound Relief DVD. The 4 DVD set will feature highlights of EVERY artist who performed at Sound Relief in over 9 hours of footage. Released on October 2 through Liberation Music you're best to mark that date down now.

Yayayay! This means that it will have Coldplay's performance and the now infamous "Chris Martin run". :P

EDIT: The DVD will be released on October 9. Here's a link for more info: http://liberation.com.au/eflyer_video/sound_relief/video2.html

Ah this means I get to relive this awesome musical experience whenever I want now! :P

Is that the one where Coldplay performed "Bittersweet Symphony" with Richard Ashcroft?

Nope..That was Live8 back in 2005 in London.

Sound Relief was held in March this year..in Sydney.

Oh... well, I still wants this!

At the Mansfield concert, when Chris fell down (on purpose) after Viva la Vida, I screamed 'ARE YOU OK, CHRIS, MY LOVE?' It was pretty funny.

I think he did... he said "Yeah, I'm OK!" I was in section 5 row N, so I feel pretty special :D

I have a lot of shiny purple butterflies from the concert tucked safely inside my Viva program. I love the Coldplay Puppet Pals.

Sweet. This was a great performance.

amazing, the fix you run,and the performance with John Farnham :D

I thought this was announced a while ago?

Anywho, YAY! Great news. Hopefully it will have their full set. Otherwise I can't delete it off my iQ. And it'd be a shame for them to cut it out.

Unfortunately there were no butterflies or fireworks and the stadium was still half full since Coldplay opened the Sydney show because they had their own show that night as well.

But there were balloons!

I'm so glad that they didn't play an acoustic show like they originally announced and instead went ahead with the "full band mode".

Seven songs of complete awesomeness. :D

Indeed. And I love how all the news footage on the event was of their performance.
