Question: Fall Out Boys' Folie a deux was released in december last year yet it still made last years list. Is it eligible to vote for this year?

 Gonna have to think about that one when I get a chance to look things up. The rules say December though, so if it was released then I guess I'll probably have to allow it.

I need help with the ordering of my list. The top ten are basically set in stone and it will take a convincing arguement to make me change those but the rest I'm really not sure about the order. Any other albums I haven't listened to but haven't?

Imogen Heap - Ellipse! (Sorry, I'm awful. :laugh3: But it is in my top 3 for sure and I can't believe she isn't getting more love.)

Honestly, I always find with this poll that the most useful technique when I can't make up my mind is to make 3 big categories- top, middle, bottom- and then ask myself which albums in each category need the points most, because it may make the difference between an unloved favorite making the top 50 or not.

i will try and listen to the album (seeing as the other recommendation was so good) and I might try your way of sorting.

the reason u2 is so high is it did lots for me. I might revaluate though. The final list could probably end up being very different to this one.

thats so similar to my current list it's scary.

i'm going to hand write my top 25 tonight. then think about it for a little bit before posting it up here.

For my list I usually write out all the album names on sticky notes or paper and work on a chart for a few days before finalizing it.

Oh yeah. I'm not really sure what would be cool to do. Other than like announcing the winners. Maybe playing a song from the top bunch of albums. Special envelope ripping.

^Ok, guess I'm a little ahead of you there, then. The big thing presentation wise I'm worried about would be to able to keep live conversation going so there wouldn't be too much dead air while we worked on tactical stuff.

If we were going to do it, it would probably have to be on Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th, so would you be free then? And I don't have a webcam, so it would have to be at your place if that was ok...

I should be free one of those days. My only exam is on the 19th. So I have a little downtime for about a week.

Now I know with the broadcast there is a chat on the ustream.tv site. But we could also chat on the forum. We can also hook the thing up to twitter. Lots of options.

I guess for the downtown I could just "DJ" stuff for as long as we need.

^Yeah, I was thinking it should take about an hour (if live) preferably at a time when the most people would be on. I could get all the results posts typed up ahead of time so we can post them as they're announced, then play clips live and have most of the time taken up between announcements with questions and discussion and things from the board.

Would be worlds better than the 12 hours or so it all took me last year, but it would need a lot of prep work to work.

Heh... hooray for looking awkward on camera. :uhoh:

i might steal this idea

Do it! I won't even call the Coldplaying cops. :policeman:

wow a webcast sounds like a great idea!

I edited my list today, maybe I'll add one or two more albums :)
