September 7, 200916 yr As you may or may not know, Guitar Hero 5 has just been released, which features "In My Place" by Coldplay. I picked it up this morning and wanted to play the song instantly. Now, before each song loads, you get a bit of trivia about each band. Yet the piece of trivia I saw for Coldplay horrified my very eyes: Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckley and lead singer Chris Martin had cameo appearances in the comedic zombie film Shaun of the Dead. Buckley? BUCKLEY!?!? Oh, the outrage. :veryangry2: Heck, I even took a screenshot: I'm probably making a big fuss over nothing, and the song is still fun to play, but just imagine all the naive casual fans that may now mistake poor Jonny boy's name!
September 7, 200916 yr Well at least he's not called Will Champion anymore ... saw that happen a few times.
September 7, 200916 yr Damn, I was going to buy Guitar Hero 5 JUST BECAUSE it has Coldplay and they screwed up the damn name! They best fix that before I get it! :veryangry:
September 7, 200916 yr Maybe they didn't have enough space for "Buckland", so they decided to simply use the shorter version "Buckey" ...
September 7, 200916 yr XD That's why I'd rather get The Beatles Rock Band. Yes that John Lemon was such a great song writer.
September 7, 200916 yr Buckley ??? what is wrong with these people :veryangry2: is it so hard to write 'buckland' it's just B.U.C.K.L.A.N.D .
September 7, 200916 yr How could they not have people double checking that sort of thing? yeah, really. does it take that much time to make sure you've got things right?
September 7, 200916 yr Heh. Buckley. :dozey: I wonder if someone who works with Coldplay will buy the game and bring it to Jonny's attention.
September 7, 200916 yr :wtf:... Why didn't they double check it?... At least they didn't write "Johnny Buckley" :dozey:
