September 13, 200916 yr You listen to it once. Then again. Then again. Then you love it. For me, it's Glass of Water. Didn't know it existed until I left iTunes running one day, and it came on. Now i'm on 11 plays or something. Great song, check it out.
September 13, 200916 yr Ooh, I like this thread. :) The song Square One took like 293482034280 listens for me to finally like it.
September 13, 200916 yr Also, another one is Ode to Deodorant. I was so shocked when I first heard it but now I fairly enjoy it. :) Also, A Spell A Rebel Yell. Don't know how I ended up liking this one. Here let me make a list: -Ode to Deodorant -I Ran Away -A Spell A Rebel Yell -Gravity -Square One
September 13, 200916 yr Viva la vida never grew on me. Death and all his friends on the other hand, made it thanks to a wonderful live performance.
September 13, 200916 yr Author thanks Grace. Nah, actually, I liked Ode to Deoderant from the start. Fix You is another that grew on me.
September 13, 200916 yr For me, it's more of a 'OMG I LOVE IT' when I first listen to it and then it grows off me. However, pretty much all The Blue Room EP and Brothers and Sisters EP songs took a while to grow on me...
September 13, 200916 yr For me, it's more of a 'OMG I LOVE IT' when I first listen to it and then it grows off me. That's the same for me! Like I was obsessed with Lost! at first (one of the two songs that got me into Coldplay) but now it's just alright. Of course I still love it, but it isn't one of my favorites.
September 13, 200916 yr Definitely Politik. At first I hardly noticed it, I even skipped it, because it was a little too loud for my taste. It's been one of my absolute favourite tracks for years now. It makes me shiver on so many levels and it makes me cry.
September 13, 200916 yr Definitely Politik. At first I hardly noticed it, I even skipped it, because it was a little too loud for my taste. It's been one of my absolute favourite tracks for years now. It makes me shiver on so many levels and it makes me cry. You just took the words out of my mouth! I felt exactly the same! Politik was way too loud for me somehow, and then just one day, I LOVED it and now its one of my favorite Coldplay songs. Same with A Rush of Blood to The Head, didnt like it, now I love it.
September 13, 200916 yr Hmmm...it took Strawberry Swing, Speed of Sound, Clocks, Fix You, Yellow, Violet Hill, Prospekt's March, Talk, The Hardest Part, and Gravity. Wow.
September 13, 200916 yr I didn't like Politik at first either, but then I watched Live 2003 and it's one of my favorites too right now!
September 13, 200916 yr Agreed. I TRIED to like 42 when I started out with Coldplay...but I can't. I just can't. :/
September 13, 200916 yr DAYLIGHT. Following Clocks is a tall order, and that may have soured the song for me at first, but I find it a great listen now. Chinese Sleep Chant is another one. Seemed like ho-hum filler at first, but it sounds great right before Viva.
September 14, 200916 yr Yes took a few months to grow on me. Same for me, now it's one of my favourites
September 15, 200916 yr Death and All His Friends... it was just okay at first, but now it's one of my favorites. :3
September 15, 200916 yr Hmm, I'll have to jump on the bandwagon and say Politik. The first few times I heard it, it just seemed so un-Coldplayish, until I watched Live 2003 and my mind was changed completely. Now I think it's one of the most beautiful, spine-chilling songs out there. :wacky:
