Starlight Chaser
I'm gonna say Thom Yorke, as Muse and Coldplay are my two favourite bands of all time and I can't choose between Matt and Chris. On the other hand, Thom is probably the best singer, objectively speaking.

w1ll1am7
It would have to be between Thom and Matt, it is hard to choose.

Vincymon
Although I am a bigger fan of Coldplay; I would have to go with Matthew from Muse. After recording dozens of Coldplay songs on youtube, I tried doing [butterflies and Hurricanes] (muse) ... and that was tough. When I try singing coldplay I've never felt like I was losing my voice. Singing like Matthew does, is a real exercise !
Violet
Well, Matt does have a sort of advantage when it comes to that.
Cirrus Minor
Chris Martin it is. I'm a greater fan of Muse and Radiohead than Coldplay, but Chris Martin is the best. I'm a singer too, and as Thom and Matthew's works seem are reachable, Chris Martin is very difficult to imitate. His parts sound easier to sing because he's impressively strong, but they're much harder than Thom's and Matthew's. Really. But BTW, Irwin Sparkes from the Hoosiers is IMO the best singer in the world.

I will concur that for me personally, it's harder for me to sing Coldplay than Muse or Radiohead. However, this is more due to range than anything else, seeing as although Chris sings falsetto, his actual range is more like a baritone-bass voice. Although I'm a contralto, I'm still a girl, and I can't reach down quite that far. For example, the first part of "Yes" is practically impossible for me to sing in the proper octave, especially when he reaches that low F below first-line G. Thom and Matt are more like tenor voices, particularly Matt. Therefore, their music is more accessible to me in terms of vocals. If I wanna go down that route, Matt's high register (e.g. "Micro Cuts")-my goodness. I can reach it, but it's difficult even for me. It's a main reason why I envy Bellamy. xD
Tnspieler1012
While I respect his range, the timbre of Matt's voice is cringe worthy, I suppose that's why he uses a lot of mic distortion at times.
berrywoman
Love all 3... but I gotta go with Yorke on this one. Heard him live at the first APW festival here in NY/NJ and he completely made my hairs stand on end during 'Nude'..... he has great vocal stability... :) Haven't seen or experienced that yet from Martin or Bellamy. Although Chris Martin sings it comfortably on the record, I have yet to hear him sing that verse live without going flat at times. Particularly the lines "sin stay gone" and "i'm just so tired of this loneliness." From what i've heard. I'd say Martin has the wider range, but I would still say Matt it better because he goes flat less often, and reaches a higher falsetto. Have you ever watched the Wembley performance of Knights of Cydonia , Matt reaches an impossibly high note during the intro.
