Rather brilliant London band, have been described as 'folk-pop'. I hear some Arcade Fire in them as well though. The album, Sigh No More, is out on October 5th, it's leaked...

these guys have been getting massive airplay on radio down here. i need to listen to them a few more times but they seem pretty cool!

i just listened to some of these guys previews on itunes and myspace. Their ablum is currently topping our charts. I think they're are really good. Anyone else heard their music?

this band is really worth checking out. haven't really heard anything like it.

Winter Winds came on tv

and my sister started in to a rant on them. :sad:

She said that she hated the song and that they're just one of those bands who aren't any good but people like them because they're unique.

And that i only like them for that reason too.

A CHIPPY has seen a surprise sales surge thanks to a pop band.

 

Chart stars Mumford & Sons have the same name as the take-away in Grays, Essex, but were named after their lead singer Marcus Mumford.

The band was formed in London in 2007 and quickly gained critical acclaim.

Their album Sigh No More went to number seven in December.

Ron Mumford, 52, the shop's third generation owner, said: "Fans started coming in last year. Local radio picked up on it and it got busier.

"I got the album for Christmas and like it a lot. The band are welcome any time for cod and chips."
