I'm pretty sure you've all seen examples of stupid and useless homework which wastes your time.

 

Well, I've got one of those. It's due tomorrow morning. Chemistry. Not regular chemistry homework, but chemistry (experiments) homework. I'm supposed to copy snippets of text and a bunch of pictures from the book. Why? Well, nobody knows, but it "doesn't matter", we all should just do what we're told to. :dozey:

I'm aware that I've had plenty of time to do this, but I'm kinda a last-minute person. I should go to sleep in around 1 and a half hours. My guess is that I won't be able to do the homework in suck a short time. I could start, of course, but I don't see the point in that, really.

The teacher said she'll check our notebooks to see if we've done our homework. I don't know if I'll get a bad grade for not doing it. Even if I do get a bad grade, I'm pretty sure I won't care much about it.

 

So, what do you say, should I continue procrastinating, and if she asks me why I didn't do it, say something like "Why would I do it?", or is that, in your opinion, too rebellious?

Yeah, apparently my chemistry homework tastes like scorpions.

 

I would start it, and finish in the morning if you can...

 

I can barely see where I'm walking in the morning, let away homework. :P Too sleeeeepyyyyy.

If you do it you will be later satisfied with yourself and good mood is guaranteed;)

Though, I don't know the "rules" in your school, and maybe going to sleep for some rest wil be more worthwhile...

As for me, I usually feel depressed when I don't do what I have to:\ And I hate loads of homework too!!!Just sometimes you should surpass yourself:)

Our school was in the news Paper because parents had to talk to the principal about their being to much homework! :uhoh:

But eventually, we made a rule where you do 10min. multiplied by your grade level is how much homework you SHOULD have. And if it takes you any longer, you write a note to your teacher. :smug:

I wouldnt do that just on principle. I hate that teachers give us too much homework than we are able to do.

 

I agree, but in my case, I was able to do it, I just went with the thought that the Internet, listening to music and math problems are far more interesting. :p But now when I'm in a situation like this, I don't regret not doing it earlier, I'm just wondering whether to start or not.

 

Busy work sucks big time, just study for the tests and you'll be cool; the tests are what counts anyway.

 

Busy POINTLESS work sucks big time. Yeah, I'm sure tests won't be a problem. Even if I do get a bad grade or something for not doing homework all of my other grades will fix it.

All the answers are about 2 paragraphs each, if you do it correctly. Then you turn it in and she doesn't even grade it. I think so far this year, I have had nearly 80 assignments. I haven't got one of them back yet.

i'm quite lucky with the teachers i have.

And teachers tend to like me , even my chemistry one who hated me now likes me :lol:

 

I don't mind writen homework, i hate study.

Especially irish grammar .

Good news! I didn't do it and the teacher didn't check! Now I have 2 more weeks to finish it, so I'll do it if I ever feel bored.

Almost all my homework sucks ass, I normally don't do it if I don't feel like it and finish it in the morning when I'm trying to wake up; doing stupid homework is a good way to gradually wake up your brain :wacky:

 

Hmmm. Maybe I should try that out some time.

hahahah well I say you ough to do it as soon as posible

you were really lucky so don't abuse and play it safe

you got plenty of time so don't leave it for boredom time.

 

I knoow what it's like but you better give a good impresion

to your teachers so that when you need it they can be cool

with you. Besides, stupid works may have a purpose if you see

the positive side. This helps be more responsable and learn how

to work out your tasks cause when you go out there and get a job

you might have twice the work you have now and you're not used to

doing your homework.

 

I had a teacher in high school, literature teacher, that had us read a

story from the book, any tale or bit from a novel and then she said

 

"mark unknown words and look them up in the dictionary, and write them

down with their meaning" and you know sometimes there were several

strange words for me but she said a couple times "I want 300 minimum"

and I was like I KNOW HOW TO SPEAK! and I ended up having like 180

and she always gave me all the points cause she knew I was a good student.
