Anyway, I quite don´t understand why to put the "SOLD" sign on a building. Is it only like an advertisment for the estate agents? Or what is the point if the building was already sold?

In our country it is usual to have only the "FOR SALE" signs, which is removed after the building has been sold.

Assuming the theories that it is simply the boys purchasing it, then yes to what you are saying, it would be an "advertisement" for the real estate agents. If the procedure over there is similar to what it is here, the "For Sale" sign would be changed to "Sold" and would remain up for a little while 1) to let prospective buyers know not to bother anymore, and 2) as advertisement for people looking to sell their own place (i.e., this real estate company/agents know how to sell stuff). The thing that seems odd to me is that there wasn't a "For Sale" sign up before it, just the "Sold" sign out of the blue. But I suppose it could just be a contractual thing, they are required to put it up there for advertising purposes.

Although I would say it would be odd that they are just now purchasing it; I thought the purchase would have went through before they threw money into the oodles of remodeling. I didn't think you could do extensive remodeling when just renting a place. :\

But again, whatever the case may be... I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yes, the oddest thing was that there was no "For Sale" sign before. And the advertisement on the web site...

But nevermind, I believe you are right about the not having anything to worry about. ;)

Hey Natascha... the price of the other place went down again! First 1.75 million, then 1.6, now 1.5... what a deal!

Such a bargain, I will buy that place tomorrow!

I didn't get a photo myself because I found this link on the Estate Agents website this morning...

Damn, it really was for sale...

Maybe there is some kind of Coldplay foundation thing who bought it.

Can anyone open the floorplans? What does it look like?

Many properties on the UK housing market tend not to have a "for sale" sign to deter squatters. Its not unusual to progress through a sale without anyone knowing that the property was even on the market in the first place.

http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72704 shows how big a problem it actually is in this country.

Thanks for the explanation!

This! I mean, even though they are Coldplay, they don't have that special rights you'd think. :awesome:

I'm still holding on to what some of you said, though, that our boys probably are the buyers.

Does it occur to anyone that the property was sold to... our boys?!! :D

I mean, they just moved in, and rearrange the all building, I don't really think they would sell it just 4 months after everything is set!

I'm not worried, our boys will stay here!

This.

Well it is half term this week so it's highly likely they are having time off to spend with their families .

Yeah, I bet Chris and Family are going to the Hamptons, where their kids usually do Trick or Treating with The Sienfeld Family, this is just a guess:thinking:

And the Country Music Awards are Nov 10, and the American Music Awards are Nov 21...maybe they're going to spend a few weeks here - for the shows and some production work on the new album.

i'm fairly certain you can remodel on some leases. most shop chains, for example, don't own their shops they lease them and convert them to match the brand. there'll be something worked into the lease terms and conditions

The beehive and the bakery are in London
