it's 1:35 AM and it's very cold with -1ºC

So i go to sleep in my little bed

It's going to be hot and humid for the fireworks tonight, hopefully it won't storm!

Saturday afternoon lightning and thunder drove in from Sweden. And it got really bad in the evening - I managed to get home in safety. I was standing at a station 8 minutes from my home station waiting for a train for 19 minutes (just missed the train) and the thunder and lightning came really close. So I was really worried that I would have to get from my home station and home in thunder and lightning remembering that last year a footballer was hit by a stroke of lightning and was severely injured, but survived. But I got home safe, and one hour later the thunder and lightning came to Bagsvaerd where I live - it was around 20:20 where I live and it lasted for 1 hour.

The lightning and thunder continued to Roskilde where the Roskilde Festival is on.

For some time it was considered closing the Roskilde festival - a festival used to lots of rain, but all the tents were under water. But at 22.45 the Strokes went on stage.

The Copenhagen area had 150mm of rain during these hours.

A Copenhagen station called Ryparken was totally under water so people getting off at that station had a serious problem getting down all the stairs from the platform - they would have to dive and continue doing so because a large area around Ryparken station was flooded.

There is a viaduct next to the station, and it gets flooded / submerged when it is raining like it did yesterday. Last time it happened was last year - but this year it was much worse. A girl on her bike tried to get through but had to give up.

The famous Copenhagen amusement park Tivoli was evacuated!!

2,000 strokes of lightning in 1 hour in the Copenhagen area.

We have had some days with relatively cold weather with temps from 14-18 degrees Celsius and the thunder and lightning marks the beginning of a period with warmer = hot weather.

It is unusual weather for us - also the front with warm weather coming from the North-East.

TODAY: It is sunny and temps forecast to be up to 26 (or was it 28) degrees Celsius.
