Simon Pegg hosted a programme called "A month of Matinees" whereby he picked his favourite songs and explained what they mean to him and obviously Coldplay were in there.

 

He tells a story about Jay-Z getting slightly riled when mistaking Simon's playful banter as him insulting Chris :lol:

 

He also talks about Chris walking around with his pants around his ankles :lol:

 

The whole show is worth a listen, as Simon is a very funny and interesting host, but the Jay-Z thing starts at about 1hr 6mins in. And the Coldplay stuff is at 1hr 19 :)

I wonder what Chris was whining about...I can totally see this scene playing out, too, with Jay and his entourage looking tough next to Simon shouting at Chris for whining before before one of his biggest shows ever. Must have been pretty funny for a bystander.
