Tnspieler1012
far from perfect, but a surprisingly decent top 100 list.
In a telescope lens
cool :D is this in an issue of rolling stone, or just on the website?
mrman78
Three out of four in the top 100 isn't bad at all!
Space Cadet
:shocked2: I did not expect their list to be half that good. Sure there's the obligatory Dylan ect., but it really... makes sense. The popular stuff people will remember balanced with the artsy stuff that deserves to be there. (Woo Fleet Foxes :nice:) Not half bad, RS, not half bad.

1der
Also, some celebs voted for Coldplay: - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) voted "Violet Hill" the 6th best song of the decade. - Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) voted A Rush of Blood to the Head the 16th album of the decade, and "Clocks" the 9th best song. - Miranda Lambert voted Parachutes the 17th best album of the decade. Check out the voting ballots gallery here. Too bad Chris, Will, Jonny and Guy's ballots are not online... (They voted as wel)
Coldplaying@Hogwarts
^ I'd like to see their ballots. But 3 out of 4 is wonderful! Let's hope some songs get on their songs of the decade list.
footyfan10
i think its nice that coldplay got that general honor. but honestly, this list is extremely flawed and i'm not sure what it's based on. rolling stone says based on industry folks, but what industry folks. i feel that npr has a much better list, that simply lists what they think were the most influential records of the decade. it's quite comprehensive and it has a rush of blood to the head on it. while it's great coldplay got 3 i think they have been seriously underrated. the vast amount of bands that have sprung up in response to coldplay indicates their great effect on music this decade. i think it's a shame this is taken for granted and bands like wilco (i have tried to listen to that album many times - and also i appreciate a ton of different music) get top five spots. idk. i'm obviously a biased fan, but sometimes i think critics have really made a mass mistake in overlooking coldplay right now. when history examines the bands effect on music in like fifty years, i think its going to be pretty clear how important they were. and how completely forgettable wilco is... Corkus
A somewhat predictable list, but still beats the hell out of NME's lists, and it's nice to see what other prestigious artists think. I wish they put more ballots up.
RedGirl76
I think VLVODAAHF will climb higher over time... I think the press are maybe just a bit sick of Coldplay right now. Good to see AROBTTH so high... no surprise that X & Y didn't make it (and can't say I'm disappointed!)
