Hello, everybody.

I'm back here again after some time. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing posting here, some people may not like it, but Coldplay fans have always been so gentle and nice that I can't imagine bad reactions.

Well, a great friend of mine, Yumi, died in a landslip in January 1st in a city called Angra dos Reis, Brazil. This news appeared in lots of newspapers all around the world. She loved music, she used to play the acoustic guitar and sing like no one. Yumi was a huge fan of Coldplay and she has even made some videos covering a few songs of the band.

My wish is that these videos get in Coldplay's hands. Yumi would be the happiest person ever if she knew Coldplay had watched one of them. Mi idea is to send an email to Debs so that she could pass the links to the guys. I don't know if this will work, but I count on you as well. I would like you to send the text above to debs email ([email protected]) so that she could read it. The more people send it, the easier is to make her read it.

I thought of the subject "please, Debs, read this. It's really important"

Do you have other ideas? I tried to think of a subject to capt her attention, but I don't know if this is a good one.

So, here's the text to be e-mailed:

Hi, Debs.

How are you?

First of all, I'm so sorry for all these messages in your email with the same subject sent by different people. That was the only way I found to get in touch with you.

I don't know if you've seen this in the newspapers. A tragedy happened here in Brazil in January 1st, specifically in the city of Angra dos Reis, situated in the state of Rio de Janeiro. A close friend of mine called Yumi Faraci and many more, including whole families, died there; they were buried by a great amount of earth.

Yumi was a huge fan of Coldplay. She had already watched them live once and we would watch together the upcoming concert in Rio. She has posted some great videos on youtube covering Coldplay's songs. The reason I'm writing, Debs, maybe is not possible but I had to try. It would be the most amazing if the band could watch one of her videos. I am pretty sure she would be extremely happy; she had plans of starting a career in music and she used to dream about playing with the guys.

Here you have some url of her videos. They're all related to Coldplay.

If you could just show them one of the videos, Debs. That would mean the world.

Thank you very much in advance,

Love,

Lívia

That's it, guys. There may be some english mistakes, but this is so irrelevant at the moment. If you could help me spread this message, I would be the most grateful. Thank you very, very, very much. This board has always gave me lots of support and happiness.

I thought of it, Emp3, but the exhibition room section is closed for some days. But thank you.

Good idea.

Neither can I.

Sorry about your loss.

Are you able to see the links of the videos? Because they're not appearing here and I don't know if I've done something wrong when posting...

Edit: ohh, I haven't seen the posts before, sorry.

I just wrote the links, should I do something else?

And thank you, Carla.

I suggest you go to youtube, and copy the links from there and then post them here so maybe we can see them.

Hope it works.

Eu vi a noticia, foi uma tragedia msm. É uma boa ideia mandar pra Debs mas parece q a Exibtion Room tá d volta, tenta mandar pra lá.

as I already said, I'm very sorry about this Li... I hope one of the vids will be in the exhibition room or something, it'd be a nice tribute

Hi Lívia..

I'm so sad to see these news about your friend, it touch me. May she rest in peace.

I can understand that it would be nice to send something to Coldplay to hounor her life and

love for music and Coldplay. It is such a good idea to send an email to Debs..

But I think you should just send one yourself, because I'm very sure that she will see it,

if not today, then in the comming days :nice:

I'm really sorry for your friend and I think it would be awesome if Coldplay could see her videos, but I agree with Julie, just send your e-mail to Debs, there's no need to spam her, she will read yours for sure :nice:

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, I heard about the landslips :( This is so sad and she was young and obviously very talented too. How horrible

I hope that Debs sees your message and gets the guys to view the videos too.

If you have no luck, then we should all send more messages....

I really hope Debs will see Li's email

I'm sorry for your loss...I think Coldplay will get your message, they wouldn't ignore something like that...and the covers are pretty good :nice:

Do you think, guys? I just hope so then. Thank you very much. I've already sent mine and I truly hope she reads it.

Thank you, guys, really.

Yeah, and I think Coldplay wouldn't ignore that either. They're incredible.

Hello LIVIA,

I read your post about your loss with tears in my eyes. I remember reading about that disaster a few days ago. May your friend rest in peace.

Like several of the previous posters I recommend you to send an email to [email protected]. I am sure that she will read your email. May your wishes on your friend's behalf come true.

And remember: "If you never try, you'll never know".

You are right, Nancy. And thank you.

Oh, now I've seen that the exhibition roon is opened. This may sound too stupid, but the videos are not mine and there's no way to write something together explaining the situation. I have to complete the fields 'your name', 'email adress' and 'submission title'. Should I write all her data and write 'a tribute to Yumi' on 'submission title'. I don't know what to do.

You could write your name/email as it is you who post it and those words you mentioned in the submission title field :nice:

Hey Livia!

I'm very sorry abbout your loss!

I love her covers, especially the Lovers in Japan one. She somehow makes it her own song and it sounds really special! Your friend was very talented.

I hope Debs will read your email and the boys will see her videos.

All the best,

Hogy

Hi Livia;

I am so sorry to hear about your friend, the whole story made me really sad...I hope, but I am sure about it, that Debs will take into account your request. I hope the boys can see the video of your talented friend and honour her memory.

Let us know if you have more news.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. From what I heard on the videos, she was very talented.

I think sending them to Debs is the best option, but send one to the exhibition room as well. You could always try Anchorman, too?

im really sorry, Li. that shook me. i had heard about that tragedy, and its terrible

im sorry too because i dont know how to help you, but i hope that videos arrive to coldplay. so very good luck!

I'm so sorry for you - what a tragedy for a young life to end like this.

I hope Coldplay will soon see the videos of your friend.

Hello Livia,

I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope the band will see videos of your friend pretty quickly, she was very talented. :)
