Does anyone actually expect an album out from the guys in this year like all the reports suggest?

 

Or will they go the usual delay for 2-3 years then release it?

 

i hope for the first but i think the second will happen.

Its obviously that they will take at least a semi-annual break after the Latinamerican tour. And as they release albums usually in summer, it seems that 2011 is the most real variant

yah i agree it will prob be 2011 at the earliest, but im hoping for maybe one song before that... not sure if that will happen though :P

It's hard to say. It could easily go either way. But the fact that Chris wanted to record a new album while on tour gives me hope for a faster release

What R42 wrote in the latest blog has sort of made me uncertain, but they're deffinatly going to do something this year. Something big :stunned:

Dont expect anything this year. They are going to play the exact same set in Latin America and go back to the Beehive and record for a good 7-8 months. Add a few months for master and pressing we may be seeing it in a year, but I expect an April 2011 release and a massive Stadium World Tour, including in North America.

 

Or I could see them doing a more Parachutes/AROBTTH style album which is more acoustic oriented, release that for May and do a theater Tour of England (a la Reworked - Snow Patrol), then do a tour of the West coast of N. America (a la Eddie Vedder for Into The Wild), then move to the east coast. Than maybe a club tour of Europe. Ending around November.

 

Closing shop until April 2011 when they release a full follow up to Viva and rip around the world playing stadiums in every city and multiple nights on most stops.

Why so sure?

Because I cant see them trying to one up the Viva tour so soon. I also cant see them not making an album for another 2-3 years...
