February 19, 201016 yr As I'm sure the majority of Coldplayers on this site have listened to at least one or two of Coldplay's fantastic B-sides, I thought it would be a nifty idea to "create" your own Coldplay B-side CD. It doesn't matter how many songs are on it, just keep it in reason. But, to kick it up a notch, maybe some of us could make cover art for the CD we 'made'. Sound good?
February 19, 201016 yr Ooh, I like this idea! I'll need a moment to think about the tracklisting, though. EDIT: I have no art skills whatsoever, so I wouldn't be able to make an album cover.
February 19, 201016 yr Author Ooh, I like this idea! I'll need a moment to think about the tracklisting, though. EDIT: I have no art skills whatsoever, so I wouldn't be able to make an album cover. I completely understand. Thus, I edited the first post. :)
February 19, 201016 yr I completely understand. Thus, I edited the first post. :) Ah, thanks! :nice: Um, I guess this would be my tracklisting. 1. 1'36'' 2. The World Turned Upside Down 3. Murder 4. Sleeping Sun 5. Careful Where You Stand 6. The Goldrush 7. Animals 8. One I Love 9. Help Is Round the Corner 10. Brothers & Sisters 11. Lost? I'm not so sure about the "flow" of it, though.
February 19, 201016 yr Something like what you have as your avatar picture would be cool as album art, I think. I've always been intrigued by the possibility of the band releasing an album with themselves on the cover, although I can't say I'd approve unless they do something fresh and exciting with it to give it a unique twist. But yes, something with a contemporary feel would be cool... but if this going to be a 'collective effort' interms of deciding on the tracklisting and such, then you have a lot of polls to set up I think :P On a related note, have you heard 'A Rush Of B-Sides To The Head' or 'Castles'? Two unofficial B-side albums that were released a few years ago via P2P websites and torrents and they both got pretty famous among fans. I was just wondering if you knew about those, because this has definitely been done before. Except! Neither of them included any B-sides from the X&Y or VLVOD era, so maybe there's some potential. EDIT: You probably meant just post your ideal B-side tracklisting and leave it at that. My bad  I should probably try sleeping :P
February 19, 201016 yr I do this then and then but still strive for the perfect Coldplay b-side album after a year  1. The Goldrush 2. Rainy Day 3. Crests Of Waves 4. Things I Don't Understand 5. Brothers & Sisters 6. Gravity 7. Prospekt's March/Poppyfields 8. How You See The World No.2 9. See You Soon 10. Glass Of Water 11. Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground The first 4 tracks and the last 5 usualy stay the same then I keep changing the middle sections order and include and leave out tracks. A Spell A Rebel Yell, Postcards From Far Away, Murder and Bloodless Revolution have all been part of it. My new idea is to wait for LP5 b-sides and then go from there. Maybe make an own one for the later b-sides and one for the older. EP tracks count as b-sides ;)
February 19, 201016 yr ^ Wow that cover is awesome! How did you make that writing? Not my doing, it was a fellow Coldplayer who....'s name I've forgotten :wreck: Aaaaahhhh, how can this be?!?! :freak::freak: I only remember his siggy's Viva La Vida written in coke style or something
February 19, 201016 yr Ha, I have already done this! I made a two-disc set. I know some are not technically bsides though. February 19, 201016 yr the prospekt numbers aren't real bsides, are they? Well, technically it's your favorite songs that didn't appear on the albums so...
February 19, 201016 yr I would buy this CD in a heartbeat. LOL, well maybe I should start pressing some more! :shifty:

February 20, 201016 yr Oh, these don't have to be only the B-Sides from singles? In that case, my tracklist needs some changing . . .
February 20, 201016 yr Oh, these don't have to be only the B-Sides from singles? In that case, my tracklist needs some changing . . . Well, you could go pure b-sides but I find it better if you can use the Prospekt's March tracks as well  I think today I will put my homework on hold and do something way more important: make the perfect Coldplay B-side (aka. tracks-that-did-not-appear-on-any-album) album :)
February 21, 201016 yr lol I actually just made a cd like this for my parents about a week ago! Okay, here 'tis. So, I don't know if these are actually b-sides. Think of these more as rarities that people who only have the four studio albums and Prospekt's March wouldn't know. 1. Death Will Never Conquer - Chris on piano 2. Crest of Waves 3. Ladder to the Sun 4. Solid Ground 5. Hunting High and Low 6. Your Love Means Everything 7. A Spell, A Rebel Yell 8. The One I Love 9. Sleeping Sun 10. No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground 11. The World Turned Upside Down 12. 1.36 13. Help is Just Around the Corner 14. The Goldrush
February 21, 201016 yr I just looked at the past posts, and now I'm kickin myself for not including others! Totally forgot about Murder, Idiot, Animals... (sigh...)
February 21, 201016 yr Track 1: I Ran Away :stunned:THIS!!! I realized just recently that it is infact the perfect intro....however, I have to go with Life In Technicolor....:\ lol I actually just made a cd like this for my parents about a week ago! February 21, 201016 yr :stunned:THIS!!! I realized just recently that it is infact the perfect intro....however, I have to go with Life In Technicolor....:\ It is an amazing opening track to a mixtape or whatever (I used it for one once) but my point was it would be the only one I put on the CD :P mm... I can probably think of some other B-Sides I like but that one's definitely the best... probably Coldplay's best song actually, I've never gotten tired of it. :nice:
