May 2, 201016 yr Depression has nothing to do with being strong or not; it is a chemical imbalance in the brain. If you had diabetes, you'd take medication for it, no question. Why is depression any different.
May 2, 201016 yr Depression has nothing to do with being strong or not; it is a chemical imbalance in the brain. If you had diabetes, you'd take medication for it, no question. Why is depression any different. lol, because depression is affected by social factors like break-ups and traumatic experiences. You can feel suicidal and not have a chemical imbalance...and if you do have a mental imbalance, your happiness is still affected by your ability to cope with aforementioned experiences. Depression isn't just biochemical crap in your brain. why the hell didn't I just say this....
May 2, 201016 yr Well true; you can have situational depression, ie. with a breakup or death, etc. i.e. exactly what this thread is about.

May 2, 201016 yr 4 months isn't that long. My boyfriend moved to a different city when he finished uni about a year ago. Neither of us will be moving anytime soon because he's got a job there and I haven't finished my degree yet. I don't wanna know how much we've spent on train tickets/ petrol since he moved away. :embarrassed:
