Like Liam says, it's time to get over it Oasis are not coming back. I think it was something that had to happen. Oasis were becoming stagnant, with their release schedule set in a 3 year cycle that was never to be broken, noel's continuing lack of enthusiasm and grumpiness towards the band and it's fans and his rather bad judgements at what should and shouldn't be on the albums.

 

Now Liam and the others have been "set free" so to speak they have an album ready in a few month, have already released 3 tracks from it (well, 2 with one online for now) and a renewed vigour for music.

 

Let Oasis rest in peace, Beady Eye can continue making great songs like the 3 they have already released and Noel can take however long he fucking wants to release his music.

 

By the way, The Roller is an epic tune.

There's a danger of him getting lazy and leaving it too long though. I get the feeling that Liam was the motivation in Oasis.

It wouldn't surprise me if Noel's got all the songs written and demoed already for his solo album.

The Roller is definitely the best I've heard so far BUT there is something missing...still. I've not got high hopes for the new album, I think it's just going to be a bunch of average songs really.

Liam Gallagher was in Glasgow yesterday opening one of his Pretty Green shops on Ingram Street. Missed him by a couple of days as I only go back to Glasgow tommorow!

Noel is a better guitarist then Gem... maybe that's it ?

I have and even if they were a new band I would feel a bit disappointed.

That's why I'm giving them a chance, because it features members from Oasis, one of the best bands ever...but really I'm just kidding myself, as this is a very average band.

Same. I really love Liam as a performer so I'm excited about hearing his new material.

I'm always doing this...judging songs/bands too quick...I am actually obsessed with The Roller at the moment, it is actually really good! :D

Bring The Light is alright...but it seems very cheesy. Like Liam tries to have this 'hard man' image...and then he releases Bring The Light! :laugh3: I could just imagine Noel just laughing at him! :laugh3:

 

Four Letter Word has good instrumentation...but it's a bit average. Again, not bad.

 

The Roller is really cool, I really like it now.

 

And I haven't heard Sons of Stage! :shocked2:
