It's undoubtedly Liam's best moment in music since (What's The Story) Morning Glory. every time i hear someone make a comment like that it feels like such a back handed compliment. just like when they said death magnetic was metallica's best since black album or when they said all that you can't was U2's best since achtung baby. basically a nice way of saying everything you've done lately is totally shit and this new stuff is just better than that and you're old stuff will never be matched. i know thats not what most people intend when they say that, but it just comes across that way. It could be taken as that but that's what I wasn't intending. As an artist/singer, Liam's vocals are stronger and far more distinct on this record than they ever were since Morning Glory. They released albums from 1997 onwards that were really really good but they did not exploit Liam as well as they were done in Definitely Maybe, WTSMG and Be Here Now (great singing in that album but it was let down by a Noel slump - Different Gear, Still Speeding is without doubt a better album).
