I was just thinking tonight how exciting it is that the new album is on its way.

 

Think of it this way:

 

It could come out in December (probably not) or in March or even next June but it WILL come out sometime in the next year. Chances are it will be out in LESS then a year. Not three years... not two years... but by this time next year we will have already had it in our hands and everything that comes with that.

 

Just imagine:

 

- first time seeing the new tracklisting and talking about the song titles.

- going online one day and seeing the artwork for the first time.

- the official countdown when the release date is given.

- reading those advanced song descriptions they give in music magazines.

- hearing the first single as it makes it's debut on the radio.

- going to the store on the day it comes out and buying it.

- putting it in and hearing it for the first time!

- watching as it slowly becomes a part of the band's history.

 

I think very soon the news will start to pick up and roll in. There is going to be a lot to talk about here over the next year and I can't wait to read the album reviews, debate which songs are better, see as the album brings "new" fans to this board for the first time and so on and so on...

 

To be able to watch first hand as a band you love builds its legacy is an amazing thing.

 

It's about to be a very exciting time to be a coldplay fan again!

Just think -- in addition to your list, we can look forward to another tour. I may quit my job and just follow them around the world.

Aye, the release of a new Coldplay album has always been such an event for me. It really makes my whole year!

 

I clearly remember:
