August 18, 201015 yr I want to hear the American stereotypes from a non-American point of view. Especially the south.
August 18, 201015 yr I want to hear the American stereotypes from a non-American point of view. Especially the south. Shallow, greedy, eat contrived food, haughty, fat, powerful, uneducated, imperialist badasses. But this is not due to people's ignorance, you rather blame mtv, paris hilton, family guy... http://inciclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Gringo use google to traduce this if you want more info:
August 18, 201015 yr I live in the cacti-filled desert with all the other cowboys and ride horseback everywhere I go, y'all. No way me too.
August 18, 201015 yr Me say stereotypes are natural human instinct. You shouldn't judge people just based on their appearance, although we are naturally inclined to do so. I give everyone a shot to be my friend, whether it's a white person, black person, foreigner, etc...but I still stereotype and know that most black people eat chicken (which is true), most white people suck at dancing (true), and most asians are fucking amazing at math (true). HATERS GONNA HATE
August 18, 201015 yr ^ you've got a point there! I'm wondering, what are your stereotypes about Arabs :P it's always funny to hear those! My stereotype for arabs is that they have big bellies, very big moustaches and have no regard for personal space :P
August 18, 201015 yr The one big stereotype that comes to mind for me, having a few friends from arab countries is that their parents are REALLY strict. Most arab people I know don't get their driver's licenses until a year or two after everyone else, for example.
August 18, 201015 yr Yep! See...stereotypes are just something that's often correct, but isn't always. It really bothers me when so many people cry about stereotypes being so evil. It's wrong to judge a person for them, but it's just basic human instinct...how we view people from other cultures.
August 18, 201015 yr I'm Asian. I eat rice everyday, I eat dogs too. I play Pokemon cards and wear those odd fashion. I have small and slanted eyes and I like to show the peace sign where ever I go. Yeah. Totally.
August 18, 201015 yr I live in Malaysia, and ignorant people don't even know it's a country. :freak: Some those who know, think it's a jungle nation. :| I'm an arab & muslim and some ignorant people might think i'm terrorist and racist and me say i'm NOT! i'm cool, no WE ARE COOl.. INNORITE. I'm a Muslim too, I've faced that many times. :shifty:
August 18, 201015 yr I live in Malaysia, and ignorant people don't even know it's a country. :freak: Some those who know, think it's a jungle nation. :| That we still live on trees. :| Can't really blame them, Malaysia isn't all that big.
August 18, 201015 yr I understand that the word orangutan was derived from our national language (meaning jungle people) but that doesn't mean we also live in the forest. :| :uhoh:
August 18, 201015 yr We have many other animals too. :| And oh and another stereotype thing. Asians are kiasu people (people who are afraid of losing out). Asians are geeks.
August 18, 201015 yr I bet you have red hair and freckles :wacky: I live in California, literally every person is like this, you are a liar. Not true and am not. :P
August 18, 201015 yr I wear a Dirndl have a Weißwurst in my hand and Sauerkraut on my plate ooooh how I love german stereotypes, esp. because they are only limited on bavarian traditions...
August 18, 201015 yr RIDE ON! I ALSO EAT VEGEMITE FOR EVERY MEAL AND PRONOUNCE THINGS ALL WEIRD AS IF I HAVE A SPEECH PROBLEM OH AND WHEN I GO OUT TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING ON MY 'ROO, I SAY "G'DAY MATE" TO EVERY DAMN PERSON I MEET EVERY SINGLE ONE
August 18, 201015 yr haahah that's funny...because we had some guests from Australia 5 years ago....and I didn't know anything about australian stereotypes...but now I remember that I noticed that one guy always said "G'Day" and he gave us vegemite when they left:wacky:
