The beginning she had made herself was crap, but the ending was... Well it's not my cup of tea that R'n'B wailing stuff, but it was good for that genre!

Yes, I prefer covers like this one to those where someone tries to sing it exactly the way Chris sings is. Those go always and more wrong imo.

It wasn't as bad as I would have expected, as it was so radically different from the original it was almost unrecognisable.

This particular girl is likely to go very far in the competition, as she's extremely original, unlike the vast majority of the hopefuls.

As it happens, Coldplay songs are being used in the background on X Factor all the time.

On yesterday's show "Fix You" and "The Scientist" were featured as well as "Viva".

That's fair comment. I agree. All I'm saying is, she isn't awful. That's what sets her apart from most people who have dared to tackle a Coldplay song.
