Chris Martin to sing Harry Potter End Credits song?

Featured Replies

I've heard various rumblings that Chris Martin is going to sing the end credits song for the final Harry Potter movie out next July. There is a demo of a song written for 'Deathly Hallows Pt2' on Youtube...I can totally imagine Chris Martin singing it, check it out

Where have you heard that he will sing it? The song is pretty, I guess  But I don't think I'd like it to be end credits to Harry Potter, actually. It's a bit cheesy :P

I'm not believing this until You mr bring me Evidence as I Have been disappointed by many things before.

as FREAKING AWESOME as that would be, it hardly makes sense.

the Harry Potter soundtracks always consist of just instrumentals. :P

um...this is a bit ridiculous. i'm sure a fan wrote that song and while i think it's a great effort for someone, it would never be in the film. and chris martin's voice would NEVER fit within the context of harry potter. if someone sang a song it would be some vocalist who was famous for being a phenomenal singer - Renee Fleming type - not in a band. none of this is said to bad mouth chris or the person who made this piece for youtube, it just wouldn't happen.

i love coldplay, but i also love harry potter and know they would never be so colossally stupid to bring chris martin to sing at the end of the film.

I think a fan wrote that...it was a little too cheesy for the real movie. Plus, Harry Potter never has lyric songs in the credits - it's always the classic HP score!

Not gonna lie, though...I cried a little bit when I listened to the song. :bigcry:

Harry Potter is basically my life.

LOL.

I'd spazz and scream "LOLOL IT'S CHRIS MARTIN"

This thread needs a big fat "NO" plastered on it.

Where you heard that? If no one has said anything on mugglenet then, that's a BIG FAT LIE.

I hope not as well. The song is pure shit.

Jarvis Cocker already had a song on a Harry Potter end credits ('Magic Works' on Goblet of Fire) and that was way more cheesy than this song. Also if you've read the Epilogue from Deathly Hallows, you'll know that it's a cheese fest..so I don't think this is so unbelievable. I'm sure Chris could work his magic (sorry!) on this.

Magic Works was for Yule Ball. What scene could this possibly be for?

The song is totally unofficial, The lyrics are pure cheese, there is zero chance Chris would sing this song and there is zero chance it would sound good.

Although it would be pretty awesome, I really doubt it's gonna happen.

As someone said the Harry Potter soundtracks are usually instrumental.

But who knows? ;)

Oh noooooes!! I hope Chris doesn't do that. I don't like them being related to any kind of movie (and considering I don't like Harry Potter, especially not that one).

That would be a bad idea. :|

I've already lost most of my Harry Potter love after reading the seventh book, aka "Harry Potter and the Extended Camping Trip". :|

GAAAH. It's so cheesy!

AND HE DISAPPEARS FROM THE RING!

That would be a bad idea. :|

Although I love Harry Potter that is very true. Most the book was just Horcrux, Horcrux, Horcrux the rest was, as you say, a camping trip! The very ending was awful (the naming of the kids) CHEESE!!!!!!!
